‘Playing James Bond Would Be Very Exciting’: Enola Holmes 3 Star Louis Partridge Breaks Silence on 007 Rumours
The 23-year-old actor opens up about speculation surrounding the iconic role, life in the spotlight, and his enduring friendship with Millie Bobby Brown after Enola Holmes 3.
London: Rising British actor Louis Partridge has finally addressed the growing speculation linking him to the role of the next James Bond, admitting that the opportunity would be a dream come true.
The 23-year-old, who has earned international recognition through projects such as Enola Holmes, Argylle, Paddington 2, and Pan, said he is flattered by the rumours but remains focused on his current work.
‘It would be very exciting’
Speaking about the possibility of portraying the legendary British spy, Louis said he has always been a fan of the James Bond franchise.
While stopping short of confirming any discussions, the actor expressed his enthusiasm about the prospect.”I don’t have much to say about it. It definitely would be very exciting and I am a big fan of James Bond. Who isn’t? Ever since I saw him for the first time, I have been really amazed. So let’s see,” Louis said.
His comments have further fuelled speculation over who will eventually succeed the previous 007 actor, although no official announcement has been made.
Living under constant public attention
Louis Partridge also reflected on the challenges of growing up in the public eye, saying fame often makes young actors more conscious of their actions.
According to him, constant scrutiny can discourage people from taking creative risks or learning through mistakes.
The actor stressed that courage is essential in the entertainment industry, adding that failure is a natural part of becoming a better performer.
He believes authenticity comes from being honest in performances rather than worrying about public perception.
Returning as Tewkesbury in Enola Holmes 3
Louis recently returned as Viscount Tewkesbury in Enola Holmes 3, which has premiered on Netflix.
Having played the beloved character across three films, he said stepping back into the role now feels effortless.
Rather than feeling pressure from audience expectations, Louis believes each instalment allows him to bring new experiences and personal growth to the character.

“I’ve loved returning to this part. It feels very natural to me,” he shared.
A friendship that has lasted seven years
Beyond the films themselves, Louis said one of the most rewarding aspects of the Enola Holmes journey has been his friendship with co-star Millie Bobby Brown.
The pair first worked together when they were just teenagers Louis was 16 and Millie was 15 and have remained close ever since.

Reflecting on their bond, he said both have changed significantly over the years, but working together still brings back the carefree energy they shared during the first film.
Louis also joked about the idea that friendships lasting more than seven years often stand the test of time, saying their connection has only grown stronger despite their personal and professional journeys.
What’s next for Louis Partridge?
With Enola Holmes 3 adding another successful project to his growing filmography and rumours surrounding James Bond continuing to circulate, Louis Partridge remains one of Britain’s most promising young actors.
Whether or not he eventually dons the iconic 007 tuxedo, his latest comments suggest he would gladly embrace the challenge if the opportunity ever comes his way.
