Vishwanath And Sons Box Office Day 6: Suriya’s Film Crosses ₹73 Crore in India Despite Weekday Drop Can It Bounce Back This Weekend?
Suriya and Mamitha Baiju’s Vishwanath And Sons is showing signs of the usual mid-week slowdown, but the film has already crossed the ₹73-crore mark in India net collections within six days.
Suriya’s latest Tamil release Vishwanath And Sons has entered a crucial phase at the box office.
After opening strongly and enjoying a solid first weekend, the film has now reached Day 6 with weekday collections beginning to soften. However, the drop has not stopped the Venky Atluri directorial from crossing an important milestone.
According to live box office tracking cited by Sacnilk, Vishwanath And Sons has collected around ₹73.82 crore net in India so far. Its India gross collection stands at approximately ₹85.39 crore.
The Day 6 figures are still being updated, meaning the final collection for the day could rise once all theatres report their numbers.
Vishwanath And Sons Day 6 collection
The film is reportedly running across around 2,715 shows on Day 6, with the latest live tracking indicating an India collection of approximately ₹1.52 crore so far.
The reported occupancy currently stands at around 17.6%, reflecting the expected reduction in audience footfall during the middle of the working week.
While the Day 6 number is significantly lower than the weekend figures, the overall total remains encouraging for the Suriya-led film.
From ₹15 crore opening to ₹73 crore in six days
Vishwanath And Sons began its theatrical journey on a strong note.
The film reportedly opened with around ₹15.35 crore on Friday before gaining momentum over the weekend.
Its Saturday collection climbed to approximately ₹22.25 crore, followed by around ₹20.55 crore on Sunday.
The film then experienced the expected weekday correction, collecting around ₹7.80 crore on Monday and approximately ₹6.35 crore on Tuesday.

Weekday drop doesn’t tell the whole story
The fall in daily earnings is noticeable, but it is not necessarily a cause for concern at this stage.
Like most theatrical releases, Vishwanath And Sons benefited from higher weekend footfall before experiencing a slowdown once the working week began.
The number of shows has also reportedly declined, which can naturally affect the daily collection.
The more important test will arrive with the second weekend.
If the film manages to record a strong jump in occupancy on Saturday and Sunday, it could regain momentum and strengthen its theatrical run. A weak second weekend, on the other hand, could indicate that the film is losing steam faster than expected.

What is Vishwanath And Sons about?
Directed by Venky Atluri, Vishwanath And Sons features Suriya in the role of Sanjay Vishwanath, a successful sharpshooter whose carefully structured life takes an unexpected turn.
The story takes a different direction when a young woman, played by Mamitha Baiju, expresses her love for him.
The film combines romance and drama while placing Suriya’s character at the centre of an unusual emotional journey.
The supporting cast includes Radhika Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon, Nassar, Sudha, Kalyani Natarajan, Raghu Babu, Sunil Reddy, Rajiv Menon, Bhavani Sri, Viva Harsha, Kaali Venkat, George Maryan and Hyper Aadhi.
Music for the film has been composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar.
Can Suriya’s film cross the ₹100 crore mark?

With the India net collection already approaching ₹74 crore, the next obvious milestone for Vishwanath And Sons is the ₹100-crore mark.
The film has built a strong foundation during its first six days, but the pace from here will depend heavily on audience retention and the second-weekend jump.
If Saturday and Sunday bring a significant increase in occupancy, Vishwanath And Sons could move rapidly towards the ₹100-crore milestone.
For now, the weekday slowdown has not erased the impact of its strong opening. The film has crossed ₹73 crore in India net collections in just six days — and the second weekend could determine whether Suriya’s latest release turns that strong start into a much bigger box office success.
