Realme 17 Pro+ Leak: 200MP Camera and 1.5K OLED Display Tipped… Is This the Next Camera King?
The upcoming Realme 17 Pro+ is reportedly set to feature a 6.78-inch flat OLED display and a triple-camera setup led by a 200MP primary sensor, according to a fresh leak.
NEW DELHI: Realme appears to be preparing its next major numbered smartphone series, and the Realme 17 Pro+ is already attracting attention even before an official announcement.
The upcoming handset has surfaced in a fresh leak that reportedly reveals details about its display and rear camera system. If the information proves accurate, Realme could be preparing a phone that combines a high-resolution camera setup with a large, high-quality OLED panel.
The leaked information comes from tipster Digital Chat Station, who shared details about an upcoming smartphone from Realme’s numbered series on Weibo. Although the tipster did not explicitly name the device, the camera specifications reportedly match earlier leaks surrounding the Realme 17 Pro+.
As always, these details should be treated as leaks until Realme officially confirms the smartphone.
Realme 17 Pro+ Could Get a 6.78-Inch Flat OLED Display
According to the latest leak, the Realme 17 Pro+ could feature a 6.78-inch flat OLED display with a 1.5K resolution.
The screen is also tipped to support an ultra-high refresh rate, although the exact figure has not yet been revealed.
If Realme manages to push the refresh rate significantly beyond conventional 120Hz panels, the phone could offer a particularly smooth experience while scrolling, navigating the interface and playing compatible games.
For comparison, the previous-generation Realme 16 Pro+ featured a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 1,280 × 2,800-pixel resolution and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz.
That means the new model could continue Realme’s push towards high-refresh-rate displays in the premium mid-range segment.
200MP Camera Could Be the Biggest Attraction
The most eye-catching part of the latest leak is undoubtedly the camera setup.
The Realme 17 Pro+ is reportedly expected to feature a triple rear-camera system, consisting of:
- 200MP primary camera
- 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera
- 50MP periscope telephoto camera
The configuration could make the smartphone particularly appealing to photography enthusiasts.
Earlier reports had already suggested that the device could use a 200MP Samsung HP5 sensor as its primary camera.

The telephoto camera is also tipped to use a 50MP Samsung JN5 sensor, with support for approximately 3.5x optical zoom.
If these details are accurate, Realme appears to be retaining a camera philosophy similar to that of the previous generation rather than completely redesigning the imaging hardware.
Camera Hardware Could Remain Similar to Realme 16 Pro+
Interestingly, the leaked camera specifications appear remarkably close to those of the Realme 16 Pro+.
The previous model featured a:
200MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 50MP telephoto sensor with an f/2.8 aperture.
The Realme 17 Pro+ could therefore focus on refining the existing camera system rather than simply increasing megapixel numbers.
Of course, camera performance cannot be judged by megapixel counts alone. Image processing, sensor size, optics and software tuning will play an equally important role in determining the final photography experience.
What About Performance and Battery?
Details about the Realme 17 Pro+’s processor and memory configuration remain limited for now.
The predecessor, Realme 16 Pro+, was powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, paired with an Adreno 722 GPU.
It was offered with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
The previous model also featured a huge 7,000mAh Titan Battery with support for 80W wired fast charging.
Whether Realme will retain the same battery capacity and charging combination on the new generation remains unclear.
Given the company’s focus on battery capacity in recent devices, however, the Realme 17 Pro+ could continue to be positioned as a strong option for users who prioritise endurance.
Realme 17 Pro+ Could Become a Strong Camera-Focused Phone
The latest leak paints an interesting picture of the upcoming smartphone.
A 200MP main camera, 50MP periscope telephoto lens, 1.5K OLED display and potentially very high refresh rate could make the Realme 17 Pro+ a compelling package.
The biggest question is whether Realme will introduce enough improvements elsewhere to make the new model a meaningful upgrade over the Realme 16 Pro+.
Pricing will also be crucial.
Realme has increasingly positioned its higher-end numbered smartphones as feature-rich alternatives to more expensive flagship devices. If the company manages to keep the Realme 17 Pro+ competitively priced while delivering strong camera and display performance, it could attract considerable attention in India’s crowded smartphone market.
For now, though, the 200MP camera appears to be the star of the show.
With more leaks expected ahead of the official announcement, the Realme 17 Pro+ could soon reveal whether it is simply an incremental upgrade—or a much bigger step forward for the series.
