Manoj Bajpayee’s ‘Ghooskhor’ May Get a New Name After Legal Row, Actor Reveals What Happens Next: ‘It will be out in…’

Manoj Bajpayee has offered a fresh update on his upcoming OTT thriller ‘Ghooskhor’, revealing that the makers are considering several new titles following the legal controversy surrounding the project’s earlier name.

The film, which was previously titled ‘Ghooskhor Pandat’, ran into objections over its title, prompting the team to look at alternatives. According to Bajpayee, three to four possible names have now been discussed, although a final decision is still pending.

Speaking to Variety India, Bajpayee said the team remains positive about the project despite the uncertainty surrounding its name.

“Everybody is so very optimistic. We thought about three to four titles, but we’re still deciding about the final one,” the actor said.

He added that the team has come up with some interesting options and that Netflix is expected to provide a further update. Bajpayee also indicated that the film could arrive within the next few months.

However, the actor stopped short of revealing any of the titles currently under consideration.

When will ‘Ghooskhor’ release?

While ‘Ghooskhor’ had been expected to arrive this year, an updated release date has not yet been officially announced. Bajpayee’s latest comments, however, suggest that the project is moving forward and the title issue may soon be resolved.

The thriller remains among the veteran actor’s eagerly awaited streaming projects, particularly after his continued success across films and OTT platforms.

Bajpayee prepares for ‘Last Man in Tower’

Apart from ‘Ghooskhor’, Bajpayee is also preparing for ‘Last Man in Tower’, an adaptation of Aravind Adiga’s 2011 novel of the same name.

He plays Yogesh Murthy, better known as Masterji, a man deeply committed to his principles and unwilling to compromise on his dignity.

Describing the character, Bajpayee said Masterji is stubborn about what he believes is right and wrong. The actor also highlighted the character’s loneliness and complicated relationship with his son.

Action scenes presented a different challenge

The role required Bajpayee to perform physically demanding sequences, including action in the climax. After more than three decades as an actor, he acknowledged that such scenes have become more challenging for him physically.

Bajpayee said he now feels some apprehension while performing demanding sequences because even small injuries or cramps can become a concern. However, he explained that the way the climax was filmed allowed the action to emerge suddenly and naturally from the situation faced by his character.

What about ‘The Family Man’ Season 4?

Bajpayee also remains closely associated with Srikant Tiwari, his hugely popular character from ‘The Family Man’. Following Season 3, attention has already begun turning towards what could come next for the franchise.

Bajpayee has indicated that conversations regarding Season 4 are expected to begin, keeping anticipation around Srikant Tiwari’s next chapter alive.

For the moment, however, attention is firmly on ‘Ghooskhor’. With multiple alternative titles being considered and Bajpayee suggesting that the project could be released in the coming months, an official announcement on its new name and release plans is now eagerly awaited.
