Imran Khan has completed shooting for Adhure Hum Adhure Tum, his first full-fledged acting project in nearly a decade, which is set to premiere on Netflix.

Mumbai: After years of speculation and anticipation, Imran Khan has officially confirmed that he has completed filming for his long-awaited comeback movie, Adhure Hum Adhure Tum. The actor, who has been away from lead roles for nearly a decade, revealed that the film is currently in post-production and is expected to premiere on Netflix later this year.

Imran, who won audiences over with memorable performances in films like Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, Delhi Belly, and Break Ke Baad, has remained largely away from the spotlight since Katti Batti (2015).

‘My First Film in 10 Years’

Speaking in a recent interview, Imran shared his excitement about returning to acting with a project that reflects the stage of life he is in today.“I have just finished shooting a new movie. It’s my first movie in 10 years, and we’re in post-production right now. It’s called Adhure Hum Adhure Tum. It’s for Netflix and is scheduled to come out at the end of this year,” he said.

The actor described the film as a mature romantic comedy, adding that it feels authentic to his personal and professional journey.“It’s a grown-up romantic comedy… age-appropriate to where I am now,” he added.

A Thoughtful Choice for His Return

Rather than making a comeback with a conventional commercial entertainer, Imran said he deliberately chose a story that resonated with him personally.

He explained that after a decade away from films, he wanted his return to feel meaningful instead of simply aiming for a grand comeback.“I’ve just worked with a really great young actor, Gurfateh Pirzada. Adhure Hum Adhure Tum is the one I simply had to make after 10 years,” he shared.

Reuniting With a Familiar Director

The film is directed by Danish Aslam, who previously worked with Imran on the 2010 romantic drama Break Ke Baad.

According to reports, Bhumi Pednekar also plays a key role in the film, alongside Gurfateh Pirzada, adding further excitement to the project.

A New Chapter for Imran Khan

Although Imran made a brief cameo appearance earlier this year in Vir Das’ Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos, Adhure Hum Adhure Tum will mark his first full-fledged acting role since Katti Batti.

The announcement has generated significant buzz among fans, many of whom have been waiting for the actor’s return to the screen. With filming now complete and post-production underway, the romantic comedy is expected to stream on Netflix before the end of the year.
