Mamitha Baiju is enjoying a remarkable 2026, with Jana Nayagan, Vishwanath & Sons and Bethlehem Kudumba Unit each reportedly crossing Rs 200 crore worldwide.

Mamitha Baiju is having the kind of year actors dream about. Just two years after Premalu turned her into a widely recognised face beyond Malayalam cinema, the young actress has reportedly crossed a remarkable Rs 1,100 crore in cumulative worldwide theatrical business with films featuring her.

And what makes 2026 particularly significant is not simply the total.

Three of Mamitha’s major releases this year Jana Nayagan, Vishwanath & Sons and Bethlehem Kudumba Unit have reportedly crossed the Rs 200 crore worldwide mark individually.

Trade reports have even credited Mamitha with becoming the first South Indian actress to have three films gross over Rs 200 crore worldwide in the same year, although box-office figures can vary depending on the tracking source.

From Premalu to a dream box-office run

Mamitha’s extraordinary rise did not happen overnight, even though Premalu made it appear that way to many moviegoers.

Directed by Girish AD, the 2024 Malayalam romantic comedy featured Mamitha as Reenu, opposite Naslen. The film became a runaway success and reportedly finished with around Rs 132.79 crore worldwide.

More importantly, Premalu introduced Mamitha to audiences well beyond the traditional Malayalam cinema market.

She subsequently expanded her presence in Tamil cinema, appearing alongside Pradeep Ranganathan in Dude. The film reportedly collected around Rs 114.54 crore worldwide, giving the actress another Rs 100 crore-plus success.

Her box-office journey continued with the Dhanush-starrer Kara, which is reported to have earned approximately Rs 54.88 crore worldwide.

But 2026 would take things to an entirely different level.

Vijay’s Jana Nayagan delivered a massive jump

One of Mamitha’s biggest films of the year was Jana Nayagan, headlined by Vijay.

The film reportedly accumulated approximately Rs 324.59 crore worldwide, becoming Mamitha’s highest-grossing film at the time and putting her alongside one of Tamil cinema’s biggest stars in a major commercial release.

Yet even that record would not remain untouched for long.

Vishwanath & Sons adds another Rs 200 crore-plus success

Next came Vishwanath & Sons, directed by Venky Atluri.

The film reportedly earned around Rs 209.46 crore worldwide, including approximately Rs 141.71 crore gross from India and Rs 67.75 crore from overseas markets.

Its reported India net collection stands at around Rs 122.54 crore.

With Vishwanath & Sons joining Jana Nayagan above the Rs 200 crore worldwide mark, Mamitha already had an exceptional year. But her biggest surprise was still to come and it arrived from Malayalam cinema.

Bethlehem Kudumba Unit becomes Mamitha’s biggest film

If Premalu transformed Mamitha Baiju’s career, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit appears to have taken her commercial standing another step higher.

The Girish AD-directed Malayalam romantic comedy, featuring Nivin Pauly alongside Mamitha, has reportedly accumulated a huge Rs 329.84 crore worldwide.

That figure puts it ahead of the reported worldwide total of Jana Nayagan, making Bethlehem Kudumba Unit Mamitha Baiju’s highest-grossing film to date based on the available trade estimates.

The film is also reported to have surpassed Lokah Chapter 1 in its box-office run.

Its performance in Kerala has been particularly striking. According to reported figures, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit crossed Rs 150 crore in the Kerala theatrical market, becoming the first Malayalam film claimed to have reached that milestone in the state.

Three Rs 200 crore films in one year

Taken together, the numbers tell the bigger story behind Mamitha’s extraordinary 2026.

Jana Nayagan Rs 324.59 crore worldwide

Vishwanath & Sons Rs 209.46 crore worldwide

Bethlehem Kudumba Unit Rs 329.84 crore worldwide

Each of these films has reportedly crossed the Rs 200 crore worldwide mark, giving Mamitha an unusual hat-trick of major theatrical successes within a single calendar year.

When her other releases and reported theatrical totals are considered, films featuring Mamitha have collectively taken her career worldwide box-office tally beyond the Rs 1,100 crore mark, according to the figures being circulated by trade trackers.

The numbers are especially striking considering how quickly her career has accelerated after Premalu.

Mamitha Baiju’s journey started long before Premalu

Mamitha made her film debut with Sarvopari Palakkaran in 2017. She subsequently appeared in films including Honey Bee 2: Celebrations, Krishnam, Varathan, Dakini, An International Local Story, Vikruthi and Kilometers and Kilometers.

Her career began gathering greater momentum with Operation Java and Kho Kho in 2021.

Roles in Randu, Super Sharanya, Pranaya Vilasam and Ramachandra Boss & Co further strengthened her position as one of Malayalam cinema’s promising young performers.

Then came Reenu.

The phenomenal reception to Premalu gave Mamitha the breakthrough she had been building towards for years, opening the door to bigger projects across multiple South Indian film industries.

Two years later, the scale of that transformation is becoming increasingly visible at the box office.

With Jana Nayagan, Vishwanath & Sons and Bethlehem Kudumba Unit all reportedly delivering Rs 200 crore-plus worldwide collections, 2026 has become the biggest commercial year of Mamitha Baiju’s career so far.

And perhaps the most remarkable part of the story is how quickly the benchmark has shifted: Rs 324.59 crore once made Jana Nayagan her biggest film now Bethlehem Kudumba Unit has reportedly gone even higher.
