Tata Punch gets costlier by up to ₹7,000: Here’s how much each variant now costs buyers

Tata Motors has revised the prices of its popular compact SUV, the Tata Punch, with the latest increase coming into effect from July 2026. While the hike is relatively modest, buyers planning to purchase the SUV this month will have to pay up to ₹7,000 more, depending on the chosen variant.

The price revision applies across multiple petrol, CNG and turbo-petrol versions of the Punch, which continues to be one of Tata’s best-selling SUVs in India.

Price Hike Across Variants

The highest price increase of ₹7,000 has been applied to all CNG variants equipped with the AMT gearbox.

Meanwhile, the following models have become ₹6,000 more expensive:

• Pure+ Petrol AMT
• Adventure Petrol AMT
• Accomplished Petrol AMT
• Accomplished+ (S) Petrol AMT
• Pure CNG Manual
• Pure+ CNG Manual
• Adventure CNG Manual
• Adventure (S) CNG Manual
• Accomplished CNG Manual

The remaining naturally aspirated petrol manual and turbo-petrol manual variants have received a comparatively smaller ₹5,000 price increase.

Punch Facelift Continues with Three Engine Choices

The updated Tata Punch, introduced earlier this year, brought refreshed styling, additional features and the introduction of a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine.

The SUV is currently available in six variants:

• Smart
• Pure
• Pure+
• Adventure
• Accomplished
• Accomplished+

Customers can choose from multiple engine and transmission combinations depending on their requirements.

The Punch continues to be offered with three powertrain choices:

  • 87 bhp
  • Available with a 5-speed manual or AMT
• 1.2-litre CNG
  • 72 bhp
  • Offered with manual and AMT gearbox options
• 1.2-litre Turbo Petrol
  • 118 bhp
  • 170 Nm of peak torque
  • Paired exclusively with a 6-speed manual transmission

The turbo-petrol engine remains the newest addition to the Punch lineup, offering significantly improved performance for enthusiasts.

What It Means for Buyers

Although the latest revision is not substantial, it does increase the overall cost of owning the Tata Punch. Buyers who are in the final stages of booking the SUV should factor the revised prices into their purchase decision.

Despite the hike, the Punch continues to be a strong contender in India’s compact SUV segment, thanks to its multiple fuel options, feature-rich cabin and diverse variant lineup.
