Tata Curvv Series X Launched in India From ₹10 Lakh Lower Variants Get a Big Feature Upgrade
Tata Motors has introduced the new Curvv Series X in India, priced between ₹10 lakh and ₹19 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated SUV-coupe brings several premium features to more affordable variants while retaining its turbo-petrol and diesel engine options.
Tata Motors has refreshed its stylish SUV-coupe with the launch of the Curvv Series X in India, and the biggest changes aren’t limited to its variant names.
Prices for the updated range start at ₹10 lakh (ex-showroom), while the broader lineup extends to around ₹19 lakh, depending on the variant and powertrain.
More importantly, Tata has redistributed several features that were previously restricted to higher trims, giving lower and mid-spec versions a stronger equipment list.
The Curvv Series X continues with petrol and diesel powertrains, while the Dark edition remains available on selected variants.
Tata Curvv Series X Price Starts at ₹10 Lakh
The entry-level Smart X is priced at ₹10 lakh, while the Pure X starts at ₹11 lakh.
Moving further up, the Pure X+ costs ₹11.80 lakh, while prices for the Creative X+ begin at ₹12.91 lakh.
The Accomplished X is priced from ₹14 lakh, while the Accomplished X+ reaches ₹18.50 lakh in the specified configuration.
Buyers choosing an eligible Dark edition will pay an additional ₹25,000.
The Smart X is around ₹24,000 more expensive than the previous base version.
Tata has also reduced the petrol-to-diesel price difference from ₹1.5 lakh to ₹1.3 lakh. Similarly, the premium for the automatic transmission has reportedly dropped from ₹1.5 lakh to ₹1.3 lakh.
Even Lower Variants Get a 10.25-Inch Touchscreen
One of the biggest improvements comes inside the cabin.
Starting from the Pure X, buyers get a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen.
The equipment list also includes wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with push-button start and auto-folding ORVMs.
Higher variants add a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, multiple drive modes, USB ports and a cooled glove box.
Depending on the variant, buyers can also get a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, blind-view monitor, rain-sensing wipers and automatic headlamps.
Top Variant Gets 12.3-Inch Screen and Level 2 ADAS
Move to the higher end of the Curvv Series X range and the equipment list becomes considerably more premium.
The top-spec model features a larger 12.3-inch infotainment display paired with a nine-speaker JBL audio system.
There are ventilated front seats, a six-way powered driver’s seat, wireless smartphone charging and dual-zone climate control.
Tata also offers Level 2 ADAS, an air purifier, connected-car technology and a gesture-controlled powered tailgate on higher-spec versions.
Three Engine Options Continue
Mechanically, Tata has retained three engine choices for the Curvv Series X.
The familiar 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine develops 120hp and 170Nm of torque.
Buyers wanting more performance can opt for the 1.2-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol, which produces 125hp and 225Nm.
The third option is a 1.5-litre diesel engine, rated at 118hp and 260Nm.

The turbo-petrol and diesel engines can be paired with a six-speed manual gearbox or seven-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCA), depending on the variant.
The 125hp direct-injection turbo-petrol with the seven-speed DCA is restricted to the Accomplished X+.
Curvv’s Coupe-SUV Design Remains Familiar
Tata hasn’t dramatically altered the Curvv’s exterior design for the Series X update.
The SUV-coupe retains its distinctive flush-fitting door handles and signature LED lighting elements.
One noticeable change is the black grille, replacing the chrome treatment.
Lower variants ride on 17-inch alloy wheels, while higher trims get larger 18-inch alloys.
The coupe-inspired roofline and overall silhouette remain largely unchanged.

Tata Has Also Tried to Improve Rear-Seat Space
There are some noteworthy changes inside that aren’t immediately visible.
Tata says the front seat-back has been made 10mm thinner, while the rear seat has been moved 20mm backwards and 10mm lower.
These adjustments are intended to free up additional space for passengers in the second row.
The cabin also receives a lighter treatment with leatherette upholstery, depending on the variant.
For a vehicle whose coupe-inspired roofline inevitably places additional emphasis on rear-seat packaging, these small dimensional changes could make a meaningful difference to passenger comfort.
What Changes With the Curvv Series X?
Rather than completely reinventing the Curvv, Tata appears to have focused on making its variant lineup more attractive.
Features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone connectivity and convenience equipment are now accessible further down the range, while buyers at the top continue to get features such as Level 2 ADAS, ventilated seats, JBL audio and a 360-degree camera.
The powertrain lineup remains familiar, giving buyers a choice between two turbo-petrol engines and one diesel.
With prices starting at ₹10 lakh (ex-showroom), the Series X update is ultimately about offering more equipment across a wider portion of the Curvv lineup without dramatically changing the formula that defines Tata’s SUV-coupe.
