Vietnamese EV maker VinFast is reportedly preparing to bring the ultra-compact VF 3 to India, where it could rival the MG Comet EV and Tata Tiago EV.
VinFast, the Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer, is expected to expand its India portfolio with the launch of the VF 3, an ultra-compact electric micro SUV. Roughly the size of the iconic Tata Nano, the VF 3 is designed primarily for urban mobility and could become one of the most distinctive electric vehicles in the country.
The company is already preparing to introduce models such as the VF 6, VF 7, and VF MPV 7 in India, and the VF 3 is widely expected to strengthen its entry-level EV lineup.
Compact Size, SUV-Inspired Styling

The micro SUV can achieve a top speed of 100kmph, provided the battery charge remains above 50%.
It draws power from an 18.64kWh LFP battery pack, which delivers a claimed 215km range under the NEDC testing cycle.
The battery also supports DC fast charging, allowing it to charge from 10% to 70% in approximately 36 minutes.
Practical Cabin and Cargo Space
The VF 3 offers seating for four occupants.
While luggage space is limited with all seats in place, folding the rear seats increases the cargo capacity to 285 litres. The vehicle also supports a roof load of up to 50kg, adding to its practicality for daily use.

Expected India Launch and Rivals
Although VinFast has not officially confirmed an India launch date, reports suggest the VF 3 could arrive as early as next year.
In its home market of Vietnam, the micro SUV is priced between ₹9.76 lakh and ₹10.17 lakh (converted), though its India pricing could differ depending on localisation and market strategy.
Globally, VinFast offers the VF 3 with:
