[Mahindra] BE 6 Sporteq Launched With Triple Screens and AI: New Electric SUV Gets a Major Cabin Makeover…
The new BE 6 Sporteq brings a three-screen cockpit, Google Gemini-powered AI, personalised software features and new driving technology to Mahindra’s electric SUV lineup.
Mahindra has expanded its electric vehicle portfolio with the launch of the BE 6 Sporteq, a new flagship version of its electric coupe-SUV. Instead of focusing only on performance, the new edition puts a strong emphasis on technology, artificial intelligence and the overall cabin experience.
The biggest attraction is the redesigned interior, which now features three large 12.3-inch screens across the dashboard. The Sporteq also introduces a new suite of connected features under Mahindra’s TEQ technology package, including a Google Gemini-powered assistant.
The new model sits above the regular BE 6 and is aimed at buyers looking for a more technology-packed electric SUV.
Three-screen dashboard changes the cabin experience
The most noticeable upgrade on the Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq is its new digital cockpit.
The Sporteq gets three 12.3-inch displays arranged across the dashboard, replacing the two-screen setup of the standard BE 6. The wide-screen arrangement gives the cabin a more futuristic appearance while providing additional digital information for occupants.
Mahindra has also redesigned the dashboard itself. The distinctive loop-shaped element around the driver has been replaced with a cleaner horizontal design.
The new layout creates additional space around the centre console, making the wireless charging area and USB Type-C ports easier to access. There is also additional storage space for everyday items.
The cabin receives a new black-and-tan colour combination, along with revised seat upholstery and dashboard finishes.
Google Gemini brings AI into the BE 6
The Sporteq’s biggest technological talking point is TEQ_Talk, which brings conversational AI powered by Google Gemini into the vehicle.
The system is designed to allow drivers to interact with the car using natural-language commands. Reports indicate that the AI system can control more than 200 vehicle functions, including navigation, entertainment, climate control and other cabin settings.
This is an interesting development because modern cars are increasingly becoming software-driven machines rather than simply vehicles with large infotainment screens.
For the BE 6 Sporteq, Mahindra appears to be using AI as a way of making the interaction between the driver and vehicle more natural.
New TEQ features add more personalisation
The AI assistant is only one part of Mahindra’s new TEQ technology package.
TEQ_Me can identify the driver and automatically load their saved profile. This could make the experience more convenient for households where multiple people use the same vehicle.
Another feature, TEQ_xting, allows owners to display customised messages on the vehicle’s rear display.
For driving enthusiasts, TEQ_Drive combines several performance-focused functions, including custom drive modes, Tribe Drive, Drift Mode and Acceleration Boost.
The Sporteq also gets entertainment-focused functions, including gaming and karaoke features, further highlighting Mahindra’s attempt to turn the BE 6 into a connected digital environment rather than just an electric SUV.
Revive SOS offers emergency backup
One of the more practical additions is Revive SOS.
Mahindra says the feature can provide enough emergency charge to allow the vehicle to travel a limited distance even after the battery reaches zero. The system is intended for emergency situations and can reportedly be activated a limited number of times during the vehicle’s lifetime.
While the additional range is not meant to replace regular charging, it could prove useful if a driver runs out of charge unexpectedly and needs to reach a nearby charging station.
Powertrain remains unchanged
Interestingly, the major changes are focused on technology and the cabin rather than the electric powertrain.

The BE 6 Sporteq continues with the BE 6’s existing battery and electric motor technology. The model is available with different battery configurations, while the larger battery version continues to offer a claimed range of up to 682km under the applicable testing cycle.
The electric motor produces up to 286hp and 380Nm, while the charging and performance characteristics remain broadly unchanged.
This means buyers choosing the Sporteq are primarily paying for the upgraded technology, cabin and software experience rather than a major mechanical upgrade.
Exterior remains familiar
From the outside, the Sporteq remains closely related to the standard BE 6.
The electric coupe-SUV continues with its sharp body design, flush door handles, LED lighting and large alloy wheels. Sporteq branding provides the main visual distinction.
This isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The BE 6 already has one of the more distinctive designs in Mahindra’s electric lineup, so the company has chosen to focus its efforts on areas where customers are likely to notice the difference every time they sit inside the car.
Price and positioning
The BE 6 Sporteq has been positioned above the standard BE 6. The launch range starts at ₹19.45 lakh (ex-showroom) under conventional pricing, while the Battery-as-a-Service option brings the starting price down to ₹11.45 lakh, with battery usage charged separately. Deliveries are scheduled to begin from August 26, 2026.
That makes the Sporteq particularly interesting for buyers comparing premium electric SUVs, as the lower BaaS entry price could make the vehicle more accessible.
A glimpse at Mahindra’s future EV strategy
The Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq is more than another special edition.
With three screens, AI-powered voice interaction, personalised profiles, connected features and software-based driving functions, the new model shows how Mahindra is trying to make its electric vehicles increasingly software-focused.
The powertrain may not have changed dramatically, but the way occupants interact with the vehicle certainly has.
And that could ultimately be the biggest story behind the BE 6 Sporteq — Mahindra is not just adding more technology to its EV; it is trying to make the technology itself part of the driving experience.
