Jeep hikes SUV prices in India by up to Rs 2.49 lakh… Wrangler sees biggest jump, Compass and Meridian also costlier

Jeep India has announced a fresh price revision for its SUV portfolio, making most of its models more expensive for buyers across the country. The latest update affects the Compass, Meridian, and Wrangler, with price hikes ranging from Rs 25,000 to Rs 2.49 lakh.

Among the updated models, the Jeep Wrangler has witnessed the highest increase, while the Grand Cherokee continues to retain its existing pricing.

Jeep Compass gets Rs 25,000 price hike

The entry-level Jeep Compass is now dearer by Rs 25,000 across all variants. Following the revision, the SUV now starts at Rs 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

The range-topping Compass Trail Edition AWD Diesel is now priced at Rs 30.95 lakh (ex-showroom), reflecting the revised pricing across the lineup.

Meridian becomes Rs 35,000 costlier

Jeep has also increased the price of its three-row SUV, the Meridian, by Rs 35,000 across all variants.

The SUV now carries a starting price of Rs 23.33 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top-end Trail Edition is now available at Rs 38.17 lakh (ex-showroom).

Wrangler records the biggest price jump

The flagship Jeep Wrangler has received the most significant price revision in the latest update.

Prices have been increased by Rs 2.49 lakh, pushing the SUV’s starting price to Rs 66.20 lakh (ex-showroom).

The special Willys ’41 Special Edition, which sits at the top of the Wrangler range, is now priced at Rs 70.31 lakh (ex-showroom).

Grand Cherokee prices remain unchanged

Unlike the rest of the lineup, the Jeep Grand Cherokee has not undergone any price revision.

The premium SUV continues to be offered in two variants:

• Limited (O) – Rs 63 lakh (ex-showroom)
• Signature Edition – Rs 63.85 lakh (ex-showroom)

What it means for buyers

The latest revision follows a broader trend in the Indian automobile industry, where several manufacturers have recently updated prices due to rising input costs and changing market conditions.

Customers planning to purchase a Jeep Compass, Meridian, or Wrangler will now have to pay more, while those considering the Grand Cherokee can still buy it at its previous price.
