Jeep Compass 85th Anniversary Edition celebrates Jeep's 85th global anniversary with exclusive styling and just 85 units allocated for India.

Jeep India has marked the brand’s global 85th anniversary with a special version of its popular SUV, the Jeep Compass 85th Anniversary Edition. But buyers will have to move quickly only 85 units of the special edition will be sold across India.

Based on the standard Jeep Compass, the anniversary edition gets a collection of cosmetic upgrades and additional equipment designed to give the SUV a more exclusive character.

The Compass continues to retain its existing capability and powertrain, meaning the anniversary edition is primarily about added exclusivity, styling and features rather than a mechanical transformation.

Jeep Compass 85th Anniversary Edition: What’s different?

The exterior receives several anniversary-specific touches, starting with gloss-black 18-inch alloy wheels.

Jeep has also added commemorative detailing and special anniversary elements to distinguish the limited-edition SUV from the regular Compass range.

The changes continue inside the cabin. The SUV gets an all-black interior theme, complemented by Mayan Gold accents and contrasting detailing.

The combination gives the Compass a more premium appearance while maintaining the familiar design and layout of the standard SUV.

More features through AXS Personalisation Packages

Jeep is also offering additional equipment through its 85th Anniversary AXS Personalisation Packages.

The packages bring features aimed at improving both cabin ambience and everyday convenience. These include ambient lighting, sunroof illumination and a digital inside rear-view mirror equipped with front and rear dashcams.

The additional camera equipment also adds a safety-focused element to the special edition, while the lighting upgrades are designed to give the cabin a more distinctive feel.

No mechanical changes to the Compass

Despite the special-edition treatment, Jeep has not made major mechanical changes to the Compass.

The Compass 85th Anniversary Edition retains the SUV’s existing capability and powertrain, allowing Jeep to focus the limited edition on design, personalisation and additional equipment.

That approach makes the anniversary model less about outright performance and more about ownership exclusivity.

Only 85 units for India

The biggest talking point is undoubtedly the production number.

Jeep India will sell just 85 units of the Compass 85th Anniversary Edition in the country, matching the brand’s 85th anniversary milestone.

Bookings are already open through authorised Jeep dealerships as well as the Jeep India website.

With such a limited allocation, availability is likely to become an important factor for buyers interested in the special edition.

Jeep Compass 85th Anniversary Edition price in India

The Jeep Compass 85th Anniversary range starts at ₹26.70 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.

The limited-edition model is therefore positioned as a more exclusive take on Jeep’s mid-size SUV rather than a completely new variant.

For buyers who value special-edition styling and additional equipment and want something that will be considerably rarer on Indian roads the 85th Anniversary Edition could offer an appealing alternative to the standard Compass.

However, with only 85 examples allocated to India, the real challenge may not be deciding whether to buy it, but getting hold of one before the limited run sells out.
