Hyderabad: Ravi Teja appears to have found the strong theatrical start he needed as his latest family action drama, Irumudi, registered an impressive opening at the box office on Friday.

According to early trade estimates, Irumudi collected ₹14.80 crore net in India on Day 1 from around 2,673 shows. Its India gross reportedly stood at approximately ₹17.20 crore.

The film also found considerable support overseas, adding around ₹6 crore to its opening-day tally. This pushed Irumudi’s estimated worldwide Day 1 gross to ₹23.20 crore.

Irumudi Records Strong Theatre Occupancy

The encouraging box office numbers were backed by strong audience turnout.

Reported figures suggest the film recorded an overall occupancy of around 77.58% in the tracked language market. Occupancy reportedly started at 66.69% during morning shows, climbed to 73.62% in the afternoon and reached 78.69% in the evening.

Night shows delivered the strongest response, with occupancy rising to approximately 88.08%.
