Jailer 2’s ‘Ala Bolelo’ Dancer Shamna Kasim Gets Emotional Over Rajinikanth Film: ‘I Never Imagined…’

Shamna Kasim is celebrating a childhood dream she never expected would come true quite like this. The actress and dancer has grabbed attention with her energetic performance in Ala Bolelo, the first song released as part of the musical promotions for Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2.

Sharing a glimpse from the song on social media, Shamna reflected on her long relationship with dance and revealed that she had always dreamed of performing alongside a “superhero.” What she never imagined, however, was getting that opportunity in a film starring Rajinikanth.

‘I Never Imagined…’ Shamna Opens Up About Her Dream

Speaking about the milestone, Shamna Kasim wrote, “I always dreamed of performing with a superhero, but I never imagined that one day I would get the opportunity to perform in a Rajinikanth sir movie.”

For Shamna, the moment carries even more meaning because dance has been an important part of her life since childhood.

She also revealed that becoming a dance teacher was among her biggest dreams. Seeing that ambition become a reality in Dubai, she credited her husband for believing in her and supporting her efforts to turn the dream into something tangible.

The dancer also thanked Jailer 2 director Nelson Dilipkumar for giving her the opportunity to be part of the film and for appreciating and encouraging her performance.

But her most emotional words were reserved for her mother, whom Shamna credited for the sacrifices that helped shape her career.

Shamna described her Jailer 2 experience as “one of the most special moments” of her life.

‘Ala Bolelo’ Kicks Off Jailer 2 Musical Promotions

Sun Pictures officially kicked off the musical promotions for Jailer 2 on August 21 with the lyrical video of Ala Bolelo.

The high-energy track quickly became a talking point among fans, with Shamna Kasim’s dance performance emerging as one of its highlights.

The song also marks another major step in the promotional campaign for the highly anticipated sequel, which reunites Rajinikanth with filmmaker Nelson Dilipkumar following the success of the first Jailer.

Rajinikanth Returns as Muthuvel Pandian

The original Jailer turned Muthuvel Pandian into one of Rajinikanth’s most popular recent characters, raising expectations considerably for the sequel.

An earlier release-date teaser hinted that Jailer 2 will expand the dangerous criminal world surrounding Muthuvel Pandian. Vinayakan’s character was seen threatening Rajinikanth’s character, suggesting that bigger enemies and a wider network of threats could be waiting for the Jailer this time.

Jailer 2 is scheduled to arrive in cinemas worldwide on October 15, 2026.

For Shamna Kasim, however, the film has already delivered a moment worth celebrating the chance to combine her lifelong love for dance with a project featuring one of Indian cinema’s biggest superstars.
