‘Salaar 2’ Gets a Major New Addition? ‘Big Actor’ Reportedly Cast as Prabhas’ Father in Crucial Role

The world of Khansaar could be getting an important new face. As work progresses on Prabhas’ Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam, a new report claims that a prominent actor has joined the highly anticipated sequel to play a character directly connected to Deva’s mysterious lineage.

According to an exclusive report by Zoom, a “big actor” has been brought on board to portray Dhara Shouryanga, the father of Deva, played by Prabhas.

While the identity of the actor has not yet been revealed, the character is reportedly expected to have a significant role in the story as the sequel digs deeper into Deva’s past, the Shouryaanga tribe and the battle for control of Khansaar.

Who will play Prabhas’ father in ‘Salaar 2’?

An independent industry source cited in the report claimed that the new addition would be a major name from the film industry and that Dhara Shouryanga would be crucial to the narrative moving forward.

The casting has yet to be officially announced by Hombale Films or director Prashanth Neel, meaning fans may have to wait a little longer before discovering who will step into the pivotal role.

The development comes after reports that pre-production work on Salaar 2 had begun, with Prashanth Neel and producer Vijay Kiragandur working on the next chapter.

The ending of Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire dramatically changed what audiences knew about Deva.

The film revealed that Deva belonged to the Shouryaanga tribe and had a powerful claim connected to the throne of Khansaar. That revelation set up a potentially explosive conflict between Deva and his childhood friend Varadha Raja Mannar, portrayed by Prithviraj Sukumaran.
