Kalki 2898 AD Makers Issue Urgent Warning Over Fake Casting Calls: ‘Do Not Share Personal Information or Make Payments’
Vyjayanthi Movies, the production house behind Prabhas-starrer Kalki 2898 AD, has cautioned aspiring actors and the public against fake casting calls and individuals falsely claiming to represent the company.
The makers of Kalki 2898 AD have issued an important clarification after coming across alleged fake casting calls being circulated in the name of Vyjayanthi Movies.
The production house, which is also backing the sequel to director Nag Ashwin’s ambitious sci-fi film, shared an official statement on social media warning people against individuals, agencies or companies claiming to conduct auditions on its behalf.
Most importantly, Vyjayanthi Movies has urged people not to share personal information, send audition material or make payments to anyone falsely claiming to represent the banner.
‘We Have Not Authorised Any Third-Party Agency’
In its statement, Vyjayanthi Movies categorically denied appointing outside representatives to conduct casting or auditions on its behalf.
“We are not associated with, nor have we authorised, any third-party agency, company, individual, or casting representative to conduct auditions or casting on our behalf,” the production house said.
The clarification is significant for aspiring actors who may come across messages, social media posts or other communications claiming to offer opportunities connected with Vyjayanthi Movies or Kalki 2898 AD.
The company has made it clear that such claims should not automatically be treated as genuine.
Don’t Share Personal Details or Make Payments
The makers also issued a direct warning about sharing sensitive information or money.

“Please do not share personal information, audition material, or make any payments to anyone claiming to represent us,” the statement read.
The production house did not provide specific details about the individuals or groups allegedly behind the casting claims.
Instead, it advised people to verify information through the company’s official social media handles.
Vyjayanthi Movies Warns of Legal Action
The company has also indicated that it could pursue legal action over misuse of its identity.

Vyjayanthi Movies said it reserves all rights to take legal action against the unauthorised use or misrepresentation of its name.
The production house further emphasised that anyone looking for legitimate updates should depend only on information communicated through its official channels.
“For authentic information, please rely only on Vyjayanthi Movies’ official social media handles,” the statement added.
‘Kalki 2898 AD’ Features a Star-Studded Cast
Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD brought together some of the biggest names in Indian cinema.
Prabhas leads the film, with Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Deepika Padukone playing major roles.
The large-scale science-fiction project combines mythological influences with a futuristic setting, and its sequel is being backed by Vyjayanthi Movies.
Given the profile of the franchise, any casting announcement associated with the project is likely to attract considerable attention making the production house’s latest clarification particularly important for those seeking acting opportunities.
For now, the message from the makers is straightforward: do not trust unofficial casting representatives, do not make payments, and verify any purported opportunity through Vyjayanthi Movies’ official channels before responding.
