Shriya Saran has sparked fresh casting speculation around Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Dharman after sharing a photograph with the Superstar on social media. While neither the actress nor the makers have announced a collaboration, the unexpected picture has left fans wondering whether a much-loved on-screen pairing is preparing for a comeback.

The actress posted the photograph on her Instagram Stories with a simple caption: “Happy Day.” There was no mention of Dharman, but the timing of the post quickly caught attention as production on the film continues.

For now, however, Shriya Saran’s involvement in the film remains unconfirmed.

Could the ‘Sivaji’ Pair Reunite?

A potential collaboration would immediately carry a sense of nostalgia for fans of Rajinikanth and Shriya Saran.

The two previously shared the screen in director Shankar’s 2007 blockbuster Sivaji, which became one of the landmark commercial films of Rajinikanth’s career.

That history has made Shriya’s latest photograph particularly interesting for fans. If she does join Dharman, it would bring the actors together on the big screen after nearly two decades.

Director Ashwath Marimuthu has also been keeping fans engaged with glimpses of Rajinikanth’s look. Responding to curiosity surrounding the Superstar’s hairstyle, the filmmaker shared a poster highlighting the actor’s appearance in the movie.

The makers had previously offered audiences a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the creation of the first look, showing the team experimenting with Rajinikanth’s styling and accessories.

Rajinikanth Plays a Doctor in ‘Dharman’

Dharman presents Rajinikanth as a doctor who finds himself caught in a confrontation with criminals.

The film’s title and promotional material point towards a story built around justice, morality and the fight against wrongdoing.

The visual immediately raised questions about what pushes his character from the world of medicine into a violent battle against criminals.

The film brings together several prominent technicians. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music, while Niketh Bommi is handling cinematography.

Pradeep E Raghav serves as the editor, while National Award-winning stunt duo Anbariv is overseeing the action sequences.

With filming progressing and the makers gradually revealing details about Rajinikanth’s character, anticipation surrounding Dharman is steadily growing.

But Shriya Saran’s seemingly simple “Happy Day” post has now added another question to the conversation: Is a Sivaji reunion actually happening?

Fans may have to wait for the makers to reveal the answer.
