Maruti Suzuki Brezza Facelift India Launch on July 23: Turbo Engine, ADAS and New Features Expected
The updated Maruti Suzuki Brezza is expected to debut on July 23 with a turbo-petrol engine, refreshed styling, premium cabin features and advanced safety technologies.

Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to unveil the updated Brezza in India on July 23, 2026, bringing one of its most popular compact SUVs into a new phase. While the Brezza has remained a strong performer in the sub-4-metre SUV segment, the upcoming facelift is expected to introduce notable improvements in performance, technology and comfort.

Industry expectations suggest that this could be one of the most significant updates the SUV has received since its launch, with changes likely across the powertrain, cabin and exterior.

Turbo-petrol engine could be the biggest talking point

One of the most anticipated additions is a 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine, which is currently offered in the Maruti Suzuki Fronx.

The engine is expected to deliver around 100 hp and 148 Nm of torque, offering stronger performance than the naturally aspirated petrol unit currently available in the Brezza. Reports also indicate that the turbocharged engine could be paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, giving enthusiasts another reason to consider the SUV.

If introduced, it would mark the first time the Brezza gets a turbo-petrol option, placing it in a stronger position against rivals in the highly competitive compact SUV market.

The updated lineup is also expected to continue offering a CNG variant, with an underbody-mounted CNG tank that could help improve luggage space compared to conventional setups.

Cabin expected to become more premium

Inside the cabin, the overall design is likely to remain familiar, but buyers can expect better materials and a more premium finish.

Among the features expected to be introduced are:

  • Larger touchscreen infotainment system
  • Ventilated front seats
  • Powered driver’s seat
  • Ambient interior lighting
  • Front parking sensors

These additions are aimed at improving everyday comfort while bringing the Brezza closer to feature-rich competitors.

ADAS could strengthen the safety package

Safety is also expected to receive a major boost with the possible inclusion of Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

If confirmed, the Brezza would join a growing list of Indian SUVs offering driver assistance technologies such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance and collision avoidance features, depending on the final equipment list.

Fresh styling without a complete redesign

On the outside, the facelift is expected to feature subtle cosmetic updates rather than a complete overhaul.

Likely changes include:

  • Revised front grille
  • Updated bumpers
  • New LED lighting elements
  • Refreshed alloy wheel designs

These revisions are expected to give the SUV a sharper and more contemporary appearance while retaining the familiar Brezza identity.

Expected pricing and competition

With additional features and a possible new turbocharged engine, the updated Brezza is likely to command a slight premium over the current model, which starts at ₹8.26 lakh (ex-showroom).

Once launched, the refreshed SUV will continue to compete against several established players in India’s compact SUV segment, including the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet and Mahindra XUV 3XO.

With stronger performance, modern technology and upgraded comfort expected to be part of the package, Maruti Suzuki appears ready to strengthen the Brezza’s position in one of India’s most competitive automotive segments.
