Jaishankar Meets Qatar PM, Praises Doha’s Mediation as US-Iran Nuclear Talks Resume

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on Monday praised Qatar’s diplomatic efforts in facilitating dialogue between the United States and Iran, as the two countries resumed negotiations following months of heightened military tensions.

The remarks came during Jaishankar’s meeting with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, where both leaders reviewed bilateral ties and exchanged views on key regional and global developments.

Jaishankar Reviews India-Qatar Partnership

During the meeting, Jaishankar and Sheikh Mohammed discussed the full spectrum of India-Qatar relations, with particular emphasis on energy cooperation, trade, investments, and people-to-people ties.

The leaders also exchanged views on regional developments and multilateral issues, reflecting the growing strategic partnership between the two countries amid rapidly evolving geopolitical developments in West Asia.

Qatar’s Mediation Wins Recognition
