Over six weeks, contestants will face daily tasks, punishments, eliminations and hierarchy-based challenges designed to test their patience, resilience and survival instincts. The makers claim the format will push participants far beyond their comfort zones.

Speaking about hosting the show, Riteish Deshmukh shared that the reality series reflects modern-day society and human behaviour under pressure.

“What makes Lock Upp: Sach ya Sazaa engaging is that it’s a reflection of the times we live in. Every contestant enters with their truth and a strategy, but inside the show everything gets tested,” he said.

Riteish also hinted at intense emotional moments, adding that viewers can expect shocking twists, confrontations and revelations throughout the season.

Meanwhile, filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan, who joins the show as co-host, described the format as “raw” and unpredictable.

“Across my career, I’ve seen a lot, but Lock Upp: Sach ya Sazaa is a different beast. No filters, no retakes — just famous people trying to survive pressure while revealing their true selves,” Farah said.

The new season also marks a major change for the franchise, as Kangana Ranaut, who hosted the previous season, will not be returning. The makers have instead brought in the dynamic duo of Riteish and Farah to add a fresh flavour to the show.

Apart from Dheeraj Dhoopar, several other celebrity names are reportedly being approached for the show, including actress Shivangi Joshi and content creator Kusha Kapila. However, an official contestant list is yet to be announced.

The reality show is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on June 27, 2026, and expectations are already sky-high among fans of reality television.

With glamour, emotional breakdowns, controversies and unexpected confessions expected to dominate the season, Lock Upp: Sach ya Sazaa looks ready to become one of the most talked-about entertainment shows of the year.
