Shah Rukh Khan Makes Emotional ₹37 Crore Purchase… Buys the Delhi Home Where His Journey With Gauri Began
The Bollywood superstar has reportedly become the sole owner of the Panchsheel Park residence where he and Gauri Khan spent their early married life before moving to Mumbai.
Shah Rukh Khan has reportedly purchased the remaining portion of the South Delhi house that holds a special place in his family’s history. The Bollywood superstar has acquired the second and third floors of the residence in Panchsheel Park, making him the sole owner of the property that served as his and Gauri Khan’s first home after their marriage in 1991.
According to reports, the latest acquisition is valued at around ₹37 crore, completing Shah Rukh’s ownership of the entire building.
A Home Filled With Memories
Long before becoming one of India’s biggest film stars, Shah Rukh Khan began his married life with Gauri in this Delhi residence after the couple tied the knot in October 1991.
The house became their first family home before the actor shifted to Mumbai to pursue a full-time career in the film industry.
With the latest purchase, Shah Rukh now owns every floor of the building, including the basement and first floor, which were already under his ownership.
Prime Property in South Delhi
The residence is located in the prestigious Panchsheel Park locality of South Delhi, one of the capital’s most sought-after residential neighbourhoods.
Built on a 1,200-square-yard plot, the property spans approximately 10,800 square feet and is considered one of the premium residential addresses in the city.

Reports suggest the land value in the area is estimated at around ₹34,260 per square foot, highlighting the significance of the investment.
Why the House Is So Special
The Delhi home is much more than a luxury property for the Khan family.
In an earlier interview, Gauri Khan revealed that she designed the house to preserve the family’s memories accumulated over the years.

She shared that growing up in Delhi made the city deeply personal to her, and she wanted a home close to her mother’s residence where family keepsakes, travel souvenirs and cherished moments with Shah Rukh and their children could all remain together under one roof.
According to Gauri, every room in the house reflects a different phase of their family’s journey, making it an emotional space rather than simply another property.
A Love Story That Began in Delhi
Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan married on October 25, 1991, in ceremonies that included a civil registration, a traditional Hindu wedding and a Nikah.
Over the decades, they have become one of India’s most admired celebrity couples, raising their children while building successful careers in entertainment, business and design.
The purchase of their first marital home is being viewed by many fans as an emotional milestone, symbolising a return to the place where their journey together began.
