‘I should be the next James Bond’: Millie Bobby Brown makes bold 007 pitch after ‘Enola Holmes 3’ release
The ‘Stranger Things’ star jokingly entered the James Bond race while backing co-star Louis Partridge amid growing casting speculation.
Millie Bobby Brown has stirred up fresh excitement around the future of the iconic James Bond franchise after playfully declaring that she should be the next James Bond.
The 22-year-old actress made the light-hearted remark while promoting Enola Holmes 3, the latest chapter in the popular detective series that recently premiered on Netflix.
In a recent interview, Brown jokingly said, “I think I should be the next James Bond. Why am I not in that running?” instantly sparking conversations among fans online.
While her comment was made in jest, it comes at a time when speculation over the next Bond actor is stronger than ever, especially with her co-star Louis Partridge reportedly being discussed as a possible contender.
Despite throwing her own name into the mix, Brown made it clear she fully supports Partridge if he were to land the role.
She said she doesn’t enjoy the constant competition and speculation around casting, adding that to her, Louis is already “my James Bond.” Brown also praised him for his portrayal of Tewkesbury in the Enola Holmes franchise, insisting no one else could play the role better.
For now, however, Brown’s focus remains firmly on her own characters.
The actress spoke about her deep connection with Enola Holmes, calling the role exciting and fun to revisit. She highlighted how the evolving relationship between Enola and Tewkesbury has added emotional depth to the latest installment.

Brown also noted that working with Louis Partridge continues to be one of the strongest aspects of the franchise, helping keep the storytelling fresh.
Having now played major recurring roles in both Stranger Things and the Enola Holmes films, Brown said reprising beloved characters has become easier over time, though audience expectations always remain.

Beyond action and mystery, Brown emphasized her passion for portraying strong female characters, especially in historical settings where women were often underestimated.
She said her goal is to continue bringing stories to the screen where women are shown as capable heroes of their own journeys a theme central to her work so far.
With ‘Enola Holmes 3’ now streaming and the Bond race still wide open, Millie Bobby Brown’s playful 007 claim may have been a joke but it has certainly got fans talking.
