Bollywood actor Adah Sharma has finally addressed the conversations and speculation surrounding her decision to move into the former Mumbai residence of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The actress, who recently appeared in Governor – The Silent Survivor, spoke candidly about the experience and revealed that contrary to online assumptions, she largely received support and kindness from people.

Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14, 2020, at his Bandra apartment, a tragedy that deeply impacted the Indian film industry and millions of fans across the country. Years later, when Adah Sharma shifted into the same house, social media reactions quickly turned into headlines, with several reports suggesting that the move had sparked controversy.

However, Adah says the reality was very different.

During an exclusive interaction, the 1920 actress shared that people were actually happy to see the house occupied again after remaining shut for nearly three years.

“People were very happy that the house, which was shut and empty for three years, is now open,” Adah said, adding that some reports exaggerated the narrative purely for online engagement.

The actress pointed out how certain headlines were framed in a sensational manner despite the actual story carrying a positive tone. According to her, many articles used question-mark headlines to create curiosity and attract clicks, while the content itself mentioned that people were supportive of her decision.

Adah also clarified that she never personally experienced negativity or discomfort after moving into the property. Instead, she described her overall experience as peaceful and respectful.

“To be honest, I’ve had no difficulty. People have been very kind, and the media has also respected my privacy,” she said.

The actress further opened up about the atmosphere inside the home and her preference for spacious, uncluttered interiors. She explained that the apartment did not come furnished, although the landlord had offered to provide furniture if needed.

Adah revealed that she consciously chose to keep the space minimal because she enjoys open environments and positive energy around her.

“The house belongs to Mr Lalwani, my landlord. It did not come with furniture, though he offered if we would like it furnished. I’m someone who enjoys the space. My focus has always been on living in the present and making happy memories wherever I am,” she shared.

Her remarks indirectly hinted that she chose not to alter the essence of the apartment too much, instead focusing on creating a calm and positive environment for herself.

Professionally, Adah Sharma continues to stay busy with multiple projects. Having spent nearly two decades in the entertainment industry, the actress remains one of the most versatile performers in the business. Following her recent appearance in Governor, directed by Chinmay Mandlekar, she is now preparing for upcoming projects, including a bilingual film and a superhero entertainer titled SUPER Velli.

As conversations around celebrity homes and public curiosity continue to dominate social media culture, Adah’s response reflects a more grounded perspective — one focused less on controversy and more on peace, privacy, and moving forward with positivity.
