The Paradise Box Office Day 8: Nani’s career-best opener crosses ₹100 crore, but collections now tell a different story…
After delivering the biggest opening of Nani’s career, The Paradise has crossed the ₹100 crore mark in India, but its weekday collections have slowed sharply as the film enters its second week.
Nani and Srikanth Odela’s much-awaited film The Paradise arrived in theatres with enormous expectations and initially lived up to the hype at the box office. However, after a record-breaking start, the film is now witnessing a noticeable slowdown in its daily business.
According to box-office tracker Sacnilk, The Paradise had collected ₹104.90 crore net in India through Day 7. Day 8 figures were still being updated on Thursday, October 1, with the tracker showing the film comfortably above the ₹105 crore India-net mark during the day. Since these are live estimates, the final Day 8 number may change once all shows are reported.
A blockbuster beginning for Nani
The theatrical journey began on a spectacular note. Paid premieres brought in an estimated ₹11.60 crore, followed by ₹34.65 crore on the film’s first regular day. That gave Nani one of the biggest starts of his career and immediately put the film under the spotlight.
The momentum, however, did not remain at the same level. The film collected approximately ₹14.90 crore on Day 2, before showing a modest improvement with ₹15.25 crore on Saturday and ₹15.70 crore on Sunday.
Once the working week began, the picture changed considerably.
Monday brought around ₹5 crore, followed by ₹4.40 crore on Tuesday and ₹3.40 crore on Wednesday. The declining weekday trend means the second weekend has become particularly important for the film’s longer theatrical run.
₹100 crore milestone brings a career first
Despite the slowdown, The Paradise has already achieved an important domestic milestone by moving beyond ₹100 crore net in India.

The achievement comes after an exceptionally front-loaded opening. International business has also contributed substantially: figures available after Day 7 placed the movie at roughly ₹154.8 crore worldwide gross, although box-office estimates can vary between tracking services.
The film has performed most strongly in its original Telugu version, while the Hindi and Tamil versions have contributed smaller portions of the overall India collection.
Can ‘The Paradise’ recover during its second weekend?
That is now the big question.
After the extraordinary opening rush, the sharp decline in weekday earnings suggests that The Paradise will need stronger audience turnout over its second Friday, Saturday and Sunday to maintain momentum.

The film is directed by Srikanth Odela and features Nani, Mohan Babu, Kayadu Lohar, Sonali Kulkarni and Raghav Juyal in prominent roles. Set against a story involving a marginalised community fighting discrimination and for citizenship, the film reunites Nani and Odela after their earlier collaboration.
Nani reacts to the mixed response
Away from the numbers, Nani has also acknowledged the unusually intense response surrounding the film. Speaking about the reactions, the actor said this was a different experience for him across his career and referred to some of the criticism as “aggressive honesty.”
For now, The Paradise finds itself in an unusual position: it has already delivered a major ₹100-crore-plus India total, yet its rapidly falling daily collections have made the second weekend crucial.
Whether audiences return in bigger numbers over the weekend could determine just how far Nani’s biggest opener ultimately travels at the box office.
Note: Box-office figures are estimates reported by industry trackers and may be revised when final theatrical data becomes available.
