Nayanthara Joins Raghava Lawrence’s ‘Kanchana 4’? Reports Hint at Powerful Role in Horror Franchise

The buzz surrounding Raghava Lawrence’s upcoming horror entertainer Kanchana 4 is getting stronger with every passing day. While the makers recently unveiled the film’s primary cast, fresh reports now suggest that Nayanthara could be joining the much-awaited project in a pivotal role.

According to industry reports, the Lady Superstar is expected to play an important character in the film’s flashback portions. Though an official confirmation from the production team is still awaited, the speculation has already created excitement among fans of the popular horror-comedy franchise.

Kanchana 4 marks the fifth instalment in the hugely successful Kanchana series, which has built a loyal fan following over the years with its blend of horror, comedy and emotional storytelling. The film is currently under production after going on floors in September.

Apart from directing the film, Raghava Lawrence is also headlining and producing the project from his own screenplay. The film already boasts a star-studded cast featuring Pooja Hegde, Nora Fatehi, Swaksha Iyer, Devadarshini, and Kamalesh Jagan. Interestingly, the movie will also mark Nora Fatehi’s Tamil cinema debut.

Adding more weight to the cast are actors Ramachandra Raju, popularly known as Garuda Ram, and veteran actor Anand Raj, both of whom are reportedly playing negative characters in the film. Anand Raj is also said to be reprising a familiar role from the franchise.

While the storyline of Kanchana 4 has been kept tightly under wraps, fans are expecting another thrilling mix of supernatural horror and mass entertainment from Lawrence, who has consistently delivered box-office hits through the franchise.

The film is being presented by Goldmines Telefilms’ Manish Shah and Sun Pictures’ Kalanithi Maran, making it one of the most anticipated Tamil releases in recent times.

Earlier, Raghava Lawrence had also won hearts after revealing that he plans to use his remuneration from the film to convert his first house into a school, a gesture that received widespread appreciation from fans online.

If reports about Nayanthara’s involvement turn out to be true, Kanchana 4 could become one of the biggest horror entertainers of the year, bringing together two major stars of South Indian cinema on the same screen.
