‘Hot Tea, Pakoras and Rain Rides’: Vasudha Star Abhishek Sharrma Reveals His Favourite Mumbai Monsoon Ritual
The Vasudha actor opens up about why the monsoon season holds a special place in his heart and how rain-soaked bike rides through Mumbai help him disconnect from the chaos.
For many in Mumbai, the monsoon season often brings long traffic jams, delayed schedules, and endless struggles. But for television actor Abhishek Sharrma, the rains mean something entirely different comfort, nostalgia, and a much-needed pause from the fast-paced city life.
The actor, who has been winning hearts with his role as Devansh in the popular TV show Vasudha, recently opened up about his deep love for the rainy season and the little traditions that make it special for him.
Calling monsoon his favourite season, Abhishek shared that rain has always had a calming effect on him. Unlike many Mumbaikars who often find the downpour frustrating, the actor embraces every bit of it.
“The monsoon is my favourite season, so I never get irritated by the rain. In fact, I absolutely love it. There’s something incredibly calming and refreshing about watching it pour, and I look forward to this time of the year,” he said.
But it’s not just about enjoying the weather from indoors. Abhishek has a ritual that begins the moment dark clouds gather over the city.

The actor revealed that his perfect monsoon routine starts with a hot cup of tea and a plate of crispy pakoras a combination many Indians swear by during the rains.
“Whenever it starts raining, the first thing I’ll do is make myself a cup of hot tea and prepare some pakoras. For me, that’s the perfect monsoon combination,” he shared.
And that’s not all.
Once the tea break is over, Abhishek gears up for what he loves the most a long bike ride through some of Mumbai’s most iconic streets. From Juhu Beach to Bandra, Bandra Bandstand, and even stretches of South Mumbai, the actor prefers letting the rain guide his route.
According to him, the cool breeze, wet roads, and peaceful atmosphere create an experience unlike any other.
These rain rides, he says, are more than just a hobby they’re a form of escape. A way to disconnect from constant calls, work pressure, and notifications, and simply live in the moment.
With his grounded personality and relatable monsoon habits, Abhishek once again proves why fans connect so deeply with him not just as Devansh on screen, but as someone who finds joy in life’s simplest pleasures.
