Jyotika Backs Student Protest, Demands ‘Step Down, Dharmendra Pradhan’ Actress Calls for Accountability and Education Reform

Actor Jyotika has joined the growing list of public figures speaking out amid the ongoing student protests over the alleged NEET-UG paper leak controversy. In a strongly worded statement shared on Instagram, the actress demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan while expressing solidarity with students seeking accountability and reforms in India’s education system.

Her remarks came shortly after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the government’s proposed measures, including the formation of fast-track courts to deal with paper leak cases and assured students that their interests would be protected.

‘Step Down, Dharmendra Pradhan’

In her Instagram post, Jyotika called for accountability and urged the Education Minister to resign.“Step down Dharmendra Pradhan. Resign. I stand with the students and future of our nation! I stand with accountability! I stand for a democratic India! I stand for a reformed education!” she wrote.

The post quickly gained attention across social media platforms, with users expressing both support and criticism over her stance.

Praises Student Activists and Youth

Along with backing the protesting students, Jyotika also praised activist Sonam Wangchuk and Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founders Abhijeet Dipke and Saurav Das for their efforts during the movement.

Referring to them in her message, the actress wrote that, as a mother, she would want children to grow up with similar courage and conviction.

She also applauded Generation Z, saying today’s young people have shown unity and fearlessness by speaking openly about issues affecting their future.

According to Jyotika, the movement has encouraged many people to raise their voices without fear.
