Ajay Devgn and Jaideep Ahlawat’s Drishyam: The Conclusion has made a thunderous start at the box office, collecting Rs 66.75 crore net in India on Day 1 and nearly touching Rs 100 crore worldwide on its opening day.
The final chapter of Vijay Salgaonkar’s story has arrived, and audiences appear to have turned up in huge numbers to see how it ends.
Drishyam: The Conclusion, starring Ajay Devgn in the lead role, opened in theatres on October 2 and registered a massive opening at the Indian box office. The crime thriller collected an estimated Rs 66.75 crore net in India on Day 1, according to figures reported by box-office tracker Sacnilk.
The opening puts the film among the biggest Hindi releases of 2026 and gives the Drishyam franchise its strongest start yet.
This time, Jaideep Ahlawat joins the story as a major new presence, bringing another challenge for Vijay and the Salgaonkar family.
Drishyam The Conclusion Day 1 Box Office Collection
According to the reported figures, Drishyam: The Conclusion earned Rs 66.75 crore net in India from 15,759 shows on its opening day.
Its India gross collection reached approximately Rs 80.10 crore.
Overseas markets added another Rs 15 crore gross, taking the film’s estimated worldwide opening-day collection to Rs 95.10 crore.
That means the thriller came within touching distance of the Rs 100 crore worldwide mark on Day 1 itself.
Occupancy Keeps Rising Throughout Opening Day
One of the strongest indicators for Drishyam: The Conclusion was the way its occupancy improved as the day progressed.
The film recorded an overall 67.08% occupancy on Day 1.
Morning shows began with 46.38% occupancy, while afternoon shows climbed sharply to 70.15%.
The momentum continued during the evening, when occupancy reached 75.31%, before night shows registered an impressive 76.46%.
The steady increase suggests that audience turnout strengthened throughout the day, giving the film substantial momentum heading into its first weekend.
Drishyam The Conclusion Becomes 2026’s Second-Biggest Opener
With Rs 66.75 crore net on its opening day, Drishyam: The Conclusion has also secured the second-biggest opening among the listed Hindi releases of 2026.
Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge remains ahead with an opening-day collection of Rs 99.10 crore.
Drishyam: The Conclusion follows at Rs 66.75 crore, while Toxic reportedly opened with Rs 55 crore.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day registered Rs 48.20 crore, while Border 2 opened with around Rs 30 crore, according to the figures provided.
For Ajay Devgn, the opening represents another major box-office milestone, while for the Drishyam franchise, it signals just how much the audience for Vijay Salgaonkar’s story has expanded over the years.

Vijay Salgaonkar Faces A New Threat
Directed by Abhishek Pathak, Drishyam: The Conclusion brings Ajay Devgn back as Vijay Salgaonkar, the family man whose calculated decisions have been at the heart of the franchise.
The film also features returning cast members Tabu, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav and Kamlesh Sawant.
Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj are among the key names in the latest chapter, which places Vijay and his family under renewed pressure.

The film has also attracted attention because the Hindi franchise is moving beyond its earlier Malayalam adaptations, with The Conclusion presenting an original Hindi storyline designed to bring Vijay Salgaonkar’s journey towards its finale.
Can Drishyam The Conclusion Go Bigger Over The Weekend?
Early audience conversations have centred heavily on the film’s suspense, performances, twists and climax, with the final chapter generating considerable discussion following its release.
The real test now comes with the first weekend.
Starting from Rs 66.75 crore India net and Rs 95.10 crore worldwide gross gives Drishyam: The Conclusion a powerful foundation. If the strong occupancy and audience interest continue through Saturday and Sunday, the film could add substantially to its total within its first three days.
For now, Vijay Salgaonkar’s final chapter has begun with one of the biggest box-office openings of 2026.
Note: Box-office numbers are based on reported tracking estimates and may differ from final figures released by the filmmakers or distributors.
