Alpha Box Office Collection Day 3: Alia Bhatt's Spy Thriller Crosses ₹50 Crore Worldwide
Alia Bhatt and Sharvari's Alpha earned ₹58.80 crore worldwide during its opening weekend, recording its biggest collection on Sunday.

Alia Bhatt and Sharvari have reason to celebrate as their action-packed spy thriller Alpha crossed the ₹50 crore mark worldwide during its opening weekend. The film, which marks the first female-led chapter in the YRF Spy Universe, witnessed its strongest box office performance on Sunday, indicating positive word-of-mouth despite receiving mixed reviews from critics and audiences.

According to early industry estimates by Sacnilk, Alpha collected ₹13.25 crore (India net) on Day 3, registering a 15.2% growth over its Saturday earnings of ₹11.50 crore.

Strong Sunday Push Takes India Total to ₹34 Crore

With its impressive Sunday performance, Alpha has earned ₹34 crore net at the Indian box office in just three days.

Its India gross collection now stands at ₹40.80 crore, reflecting steady growth since its theatrical release.

The film was screened across 7,439 shows on Sunday, helping it attract stronger weekend footfall after a modest opening on Friday.

Worldwide Collection Nears ₹60 Crore

The international market also contributed significantly to the film’s opening weekend performance.

On Sunday alone, Alpha reportedly collected ₹5 crore gross overseas, taking its total international earnings to ₹18 crore gross.

Combined with its domestic performance, the film’s worldwide gross collection has now reached ₹58.80 crore, comfortably crossing the ₹50 crore milestone within its first three days.

Weekend Growth Offers Encouragement

The film opened with ₹9.25 crore net on Friday, followed by ₹11.50 crore on Saturday, before reaching its highest single-day collection of ₹13.25 crore on Sunday.

The consistent upward trend suggests that the film benefited from increased weekend occupancy and audience interest after its initial release.

For the makers, the steady growth is an encouraging sign as the film enters its crucial first weekday at the box office.

Still Behind Other YRF Spy Universe Films

While Alpha has managed respectable opening weekend numbers, it remains the lowest-performing opener among the major films in the YRF Spy Universe.

Here’s how it compares with other blockbuster entries:

FilmDay 3 India Net3-Day India Net Total
Pathaan₹39.25 crore₹166.75 crore
Tiger 3₹44.30 crore₹148.05 crore
War 2₹33.25 crore₹143.10 crore
Alpha₹13.25 crore₹34 crore

The comparison highlights the significant gap between Alpha and the franchise’s previous blockbusters led by Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Hrithik Roshan.

A Crucial Week Ahead

Although Alpha has not matched the record-breaking starts of earlier YRF Spy Universe films, its steady weekend growth indicates that audience interest remains intact.

The film’s performance over the coming weekdays will determine whether it can maintain momentum and emerge as a long-running success at the box office.

Featuring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in the lead, Alpha introduces a fresh direction for the spy franchise by focusing on female protagonists, making it one of the most ambitious entries in YRF’s expanding cinematic universe.
