Emraan Hashmi’s ‘Awarapan 2’ Jumps 100% on Day 15, Inches Closer to ₹150 Crore in India: Can It Cross the Milestone?
Awarapan 2 surprised at the box office on its third Friday as collections doubled from ₹60 lakh to ₹1.20 crore. The Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani starrer now stands at ₹145.45 crore India net and ₹205.35 crore worldwide.
Emraan Hashmi’s Awarapan 2 has entered its third week with an unexpected box office boost. After collections slipped below the ₹1 crore mark towards the end of its second week, the romantic drama bounced back strongly on Day 15, recording a massive 100% day-on-day growth.
Directed by Nitin Kakkar, Awarapan 2 collected approximately ₹1.20 crore net in India on its third Friday, according to figures reported by Sacnilk.
The film had earned just ₹60 lakh on Day 14, meaning its latest collection is exactly double the previous day’s figure.
With this jump, Awarapan 2 has taken its cumulative India net collection to ₹145.45 crore.
And that leaves one major question: can Emraan Hashmi’s film now find the remaining ₹4.55 crore needed to enter the ₹150 crore India net club?
Awarapan 2 Worldwide Collection Crosses ₹205 Crore
The film has already crossed another major milestone globally.
Its cumulative India gross collection stands at approximately ₹173.30 crore, while the overseas markets have contributed around ₹32.05 crore.
On Day 15 alone, the film reportedly added another ₹25 lakh overseas.
Combining the domestic and international business, Awarapan 2 has now grossed ₹205.35 crore worldwide.
Crossing ₹200 crore globally is a significant achievement for the sequel, particularly as it continues to generate theatrical business in its third week.
Hindi Occupancy Shows Strong Evening and Night Turnout
The film’s Hindi version registered approximately 41.69% overall occupancy across 1,141 shows on Day 15.
Audience turnout reportedly improved as the day progressed, with evening and night shows performing better.
The third-Friday jump will now put the spotlight on Saturday and Sunday. If the usual weekend growth arrives, Awarapan 2 could move considerably closer to the ₹150 crore India net milestone.
Awarapan 2 Started With a Huge ₹22 Crore Opening
Released theatrically on August 14, 2026, Awarapan 2 enjoyed a powerful opening weekend.
The film collected ₹22 crore on Day 1 before witnessing a major jump to ₹33.75 crore on Saturday.
It remained strong on Sunday with another ₹26 crore, giving the film an impressive opening-weekend foundation.
Collections naturally slowed on weekdays, with the movie earning ₹9.25 crore on its first Monday, followed by ₹9.75 crore on Day 5.
It then collected ₹6.75 crore on Day 6 and ₹6 crore on Day 7.
By the end of its opening week, Awarapan 2 had accumulated an impressive ₹113.50 crore net in India.
Second Weekend Gave the Film Another Boost
The sequel maintained decent momentum as it entered Week 2.
It earned ₹5.75 crore on Day 8, before rising to ₹8.25 crore on Day 9 and ₹8.75 crore on Day 10.

The weekday slowdown returned afterwards, with collections falling to ₹2.75 crore on Day 11 before improving slightly to ₹3.75 crore on Day 12.
Business then dropped below ₹1 crore for the first time, with ₹90 lakh on Day 13 and ₹60 lakh on Day 14.
The film concluded its second week with approximately ₹30.75 crore.
That made the sudden rise to ₹1.20 crore on Day 15 particularly notable.
Can Awarapan 2 Reach ₹150 Crore?
At ₹145.45 crore India net, Awarapan 2 requires only around ₹4.55 crore more to reach ₹150 crore.
Its Day 15 recovery gives the film a realistic opportunity to achieve the milestone, especially if collections increase during the third Saturday and Sunday.

However, the third-week trend will ultimately determine how much further the movie can go after reaching that mark.
The film has already demonstrated strong weekend growth twice during its theatrical run, and another similar pattern could put the ₹150 crore milestone within reach.
Emraan Hashmi Returns as Shivam
Awarapan 2 brings Emraan Hashmi back as Shivam, continuing the character’s emotionally charged journey through love, violence, sacrifice and redemption.
The story sees Shivam once again pulled into the world of crime, where his past and relationships force him to confront difficult choices.
Alongside Emraan Hashmi, the film stars Disha Patani, Shabana Azmi, Salil Acharya and Suvinder Vicky in important roles.
Vishnu Rao has handled the cinematography, while Devendra Murdeshwar serves as the film’s editor.
For Emraan Hashmi fans, the sequel also carries the weight of nostalgia associated with the original Awarapan and its cult following.
With ₹205.35 crore already collected worldwide and the India net total just ₹4.55 crore short of ₹150 crore, Awarapan 2 has entered an interesting phase of its box office journey.
Now, all eyes are on its third weekend to see whether the latest 100% jump is merely a one-day spike or the beginning of another strong weekend for Shivam’s return.
