Vivo X300 FE Gets New 8GB Variant at Rs 84,999: Same Flagship Power, Lower Price… Here’s What You Get
The new 8GB + 256GB Vivo X300 FE gives buyers a more affordable entry point while keeping the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, ZEISS cameras, 6,500mAh battery and 90W charging.
Vivo has expanded its Vivo X300 FE smartphone lineup in India with a new 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration. Priced at Rs 84,999, the new variant gives buyers another option below the existing 12GB models.
The latest configuration is available through Flipkart, Amazon, Vivo India’s online store and authorised retail outlets.
Interestingly, Vivo has not cut down the key hardware to create the cheaper variant. The new model retains the same display, processor, camera system and battery capacity found on the higher-storage versions.
Vivo X300 FE India price and variants
With the addition of the new variant, the Vivo X300 FE is now available in three configurations:
- 8GB + 256GB — Rs 84,999
- 12GB + 256GB — Rs 89,999
- 12GB + 512GB — Rs 99,999
All prices are inclusive of taxes.
For online purchases, Vivo is offering selected buyers a 10 per cent instant bank discount or UPI offer through eligible SBI, HDFC and Axis Bank cards.

Customers can also opt for up to 24 months of no-cost EMI or receive a 10 per cent exchange bonus, subject to applicable terms.
At retail stores, buyers can reportedly choose a 24-month no-cost EMI option with zero down payment, starting at around Rs 3,542 per month.
Offers make the new variant more interesting
Vivo is also bundling several additional offers with the X300 FE.
Depending on the purchase channel and eligibility, customers can get up to 10 per cent instant cashback, an upgrade bonus of up to 10 per cent and Vivo’s V-Shield protection plans starting at Rs 2,550.
The company is also offering a 60 per cent assured buyback programme for Rs 799, while eligible Jio customers can receive benefits offering up to 5,000GB of data.
These offers could make the effective purchase cost more attractive for buyers, although customers should check the individual terms before completing the transaction.
Compact display with a massive brightness claim
One of the standout aspects of the Vivo X300 FE is its relatively compact 6.31-inch display.
The panel supports Vivo’s ZEISS Master Color Display technology and has a claimed local peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits.
That figure is particularly eye-catching, although peak brightness claims generally represent specific testing conditions rather than the brightness users will experience across the entire screen during everyday use.
The compact form factor could appeal to buyers who want a flagship smartphone that is easier to handle than today’s increasingly large-screen devices.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 powers the phone
Under the hood, the X300 FE is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset.
The processor puts the phone firmly in flagship territory, making the new 8GB model particularly interesting for buyers who want high-end performance without paying Rs 1 lakh for the 12GB + 512GB configuration.
The reduced RAM capacity is unlikely to matter for most everyday users, while the 256GB storage should provide sufficient space for apps, photos and videos for many buyers.

ZEISS cameras remain the highlight
Photography is another major focus of the Vivo X300 FE.
The smartphone features a 50MP ZEISS main camera and a 50MP ZEISS telephoto camera. On the front, Vivo has included a 50MP ZEISS wide-angle camera for selfies and video calls.
The inclusion of ZEISS branding reflects Vivo’s continued focus on mobile photography, particularly in colour reproduction, portrait photography and telephoto imaging.
Because the camera hardware remains unchanged across the variants, buyers choosing the new 8GB model do not appear to be sacrificing the phone’s main imaging capabilities.
Huge 6,500mAh battery and fast charging
Battery life is another area where Vivo has gone big.
The X300 FE packs a 6,500mAh battery, which should give the device plenty of endurance for everyday use.
It supports 90W FlashCharge wired charging as well as 40W wireless FlashCharge, giving users both high-speed wired charging and the convenience of wireless charging.
The smartphone also carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, adding another layer of protection against demanding everyday conditions.
Five years of OS updates promised
On the software front, the Vivo X300 FE runs OriginOS 6.
Vivo has included several of its newer software features, including Origin Island, Text Vibe, One-Tap Transfer, Shake & Share and Vivo Office Kit.
The company has also promised five years of operating system upgrades and seven years of security updates.
That extended update commitment could be an important factor for buyers planning to keep the phone for several years rather than upgrading frequently.
Made in India
The Vivo X300 FE is also being manufactured locally at Vivo India’s Greater Noida facility.
The move forms part of Vivo’s broader Make in India manufacturing strategy and means the phone is being produced domestically for the Indian market.
Is the new 8GB variant worth considering?
At Rs 84,999, the new Vivo X300 FE 8GB + 256GB variant sits in an interesting position.
The Rs 5,000 saving compared with the 12GB + 256GB model may make the new version attractive to buyers who prioritise the processor, cameras, display and battery over having additional RAM.
The phone still offers a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, 50MP ZEISS cameras, 6,500mAh battery, 90W wired charging, 40W wireless charging and IP68/IP69 protection.
For buyers who don’t specifically need 12GB of RAM or 512GB of storage, the new configuration could therefore be the more sensible entry point into the X300 FE range.
The bigger question is whether buyers at this price are willing to spend nearly Rs 85,000 on a phone when the premium smartphone segment is already packed with strong competition.
For Vivo, however, the strategy is clear: bring the flagship experience down to a slightly lower entry price without taking away the features that make the X300 FE stand out.
