Vivo S2 Design Leaked Ahead of India Comeback: Curved AMOLED Display, 50MP Camera and New Colours Tipped
Fresh leaks reveal the possible design, colour options, and key specifications of the Vivo S2, as the S-series is expected to return to India after nearly six years.
New Delhi: Vivo appears set to revive its S-series smartphones in India after a gap of almost six years. Although the company has not officially announced the Vivo S2, a series of fresh leaks has revealed what could be the clearest look yet at the upcoming handset, including its design, colour options, and expected hardware specifications.
With an August launch widely rumoured, the Vivo S2 is shaping up to be a premium mid-range smartphone aimed at buyers seeking a stylish design, capable cameras, and a high-refresh-rate display.
Leaked Design Reveals a Premium Look
According to leaked images shared online, the Vivo S2 could arrive in Black and Rose Gold colour options. These shades differ from earlier rumours, which suggested the smartphone would launch in Sapphire Blue, Regal Bronze, and Silk White.
The leaked dummy units showcase a matte-finish rear panel with a pill-shaped horizontal camera module. The setup appears to house two camera sensors on the left, while a circular ring on the right is believed to accommodate an LED light.
The smartphone is also expected to feature a polycarbonate frame and back panel, helping keep the device lightweight without compromising its premium appearance.
On the front, the Vivo S2 is tipped to sport a curved-edge display with a centrally positioned hole-punch selfie camera, giving it a modern flagship-inspired look.
Expected Display and Performance
Leaks suggest the Vivo S2 could feature a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, promising vibrant visuals, smoother scrolling, and an enhanced gaming experience.
Powering the device is expected to be the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 processor, which is likely to deliver balanced performance for everyday multitasking, gaming, and content consumption.

50MP Camera with OIS
For photography enthusiasts, the Vivo S2 is reportedly being tested with a dual rear camera setup, consisting of:
- 50MP primary camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS)
- 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera
While Vivo has not officially confirmed the camera specifications, the inclusion of OIS could improve low-light photography and provide more stable video recording.
Expected Storage Variants and Pricing
According to another leak, the Vivo S2 may be offered in two storage configurations:
- 8GB RAM + 128GB storage
- 8GB RAM + 256GB storage
Leaked retail listings have hinted at demo units carrying price tags of ₹38,000 and ₹42,000, while another listing reportedly places the 8GB + 128GB variant at around ₹43,000.
However, these figures are based on unconfirmed listings, and the final pricing may differ when Vivo officially launches the smartphone.
Official Launch Awaited
Despite the growing number of leaks, Vivo has not yet confirmed the launch date, specifications, or pricing of the Vivo S2.
If the rumours prove accurate, the smartphone will mark the return of Vivo’s S-series to the Indian market, offering buyers a premium design, AMOLED display, capable cameras, and competitive hardware in the upper mid-range segment.
More official details are expected to emerge as the anticipated August launch approaches.
