Sharvari breaks silence on back-to-back releases of ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’ and ‘Alpha’ says she’s ‘grateful beyond words’
With ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’ gaining momentum at the box office and ‘Alpha’ hitting theatres, Sharvari is enjoying a career-defining moment — even from miles away.
Mumbai: Actor Sharvari is currently riding high on one of the biggest phases of her career, with not one but two major films releasing back-to-back ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’ and ‘Alpha’.
The actor, who has been receiving praise for her performance in Imtiaz Ali’s emotional drama ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’, is now also making headlines as her action-packed film ‘Alpha’, co-starring Alia Bhatt, has finally hit theatres.
What makes this moment special for Sharvari is the rare coincidence of both films arriving almost simultaneously, something she described as overwhelming and deeply emotional.
A day before the release of ‘Alpha’, Sharvari took to social media and shared a picture of herself standing between posters of both films, pointing towards them with visible excitement. The posters carried the words “In cinemas today” and “In cinemas tomorrow”, symbolising the consecutive releases.
Captioning the post, Sharvari simply wrote, “Grateful beyond words.”
Her film ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’, which also stars Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah, and Vedang Raina, had a slow start during its opening week. However, positive word of mouth helped the film gain momentum, eventually turning it into a commercial success.
According to trade reports, the film has now crossed the Rs 60 crore mark at the box office, proving its growing popularity among audiences.

Meanwhile, her latest release ‘Alpha’ opened in cinemas this Friday and has already generated significant buzz, thanks to the pairing of Sharvari and Alia Bhatt.
Interestingly, Sharvari is not in India for the release celebrations of ‘Alpha’. The actor revealed that she is currently in the United Kingdom, busy shooting for another undisclosed project.

Sharing an update with fans, she wrote, “Miss being home on the release day of Alpha because of shoot!! But feeling all the love here in the UK!”
Her absence had sparked speculation, especially after she missed a few promotional events for the film. During one such event in Ahmedabad, Alia Bhatt playfully addressed Sharvari’s absence by bringing a cutout of her on stage.
“Sharu is missing, but she is here with me,” Alia joked, drawing cheers from the crowd.
With one film already finding success and another just beginning its theatrical journey, Sharvari’s career graph seems to be on a steady rise. Industry insiders believe this double release moment could prove to be a turning point for the young actor as she continues to establish herself among Bollywood’s rising stars.
