Samsung Confirms Galaxy M47 5G india launch: Snapdragon power, 120Hz AMOLED & 6 years of updates could shake up mid-Range market
Launching on June 29, the Galaxy M47 5G promises premium features like 45W fast charging, 4K video recording, and long-term Android support at an expected aggressive price.
New Delhi: Samsung has officially announced the India launch date for its upcoming Galaxy M47 5G, and it could be one of the most interesting mid-range smartphones of 2026.
The company confirmed that the smartphone will debut in India on June 29, with its availability already teased through an Amazon microsite. With this launch, Samsung is reviving its popular M4x series in the country and this time with some serious upgrades.
The Samsung Galaxy M47 5G packs a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, promising smoother scrolling, better gaming performance, and a more fluid overall experience. Adding to its premium feel is Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+, offering better protection against accidental drops and scratches.
Samsung says the display has been optimized for better outdoor visibility, making it easier for users to use under direct sunlight. The phone will be sold in two bold colour variants Rogue Red and Blaze Blue.
Under the hood, the device is powered by a Snapdragon processor, although the exact chipset remains under wraps for now. The phone will feature LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, a combination aimed at faster multitasking, smoother app performance, and quicker loading speeds.
One of the biggest highlights of the Galaxy M47 5G is its 45W fast charging support, a notable addition for users who rely heavily on their phones throughout the day. Samsung has also included bypass charging, a feature especially useful for gamers, as it powers the device directly without stressing the battery—helping control heat and improve battery lifespan.

On the camera front, Samsung is offering a triple-camera setup featuring a 50MP primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), a 5MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro shooter. The OIS support should help improve low-light photography and reduce shakiness in videos.

For selfie lovers, the phone includes a 12MP front-facing camera, and both front and rear cameras support 4K video recording, which is still a big plus in this segment.
What truly sets the Galaxy M47 apart is Samsung’s software commitment. The device will receive six Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates, meaning buyers can expect official support until 2032—a rare promise in the mid-range category.
While the official pricing remains under wraps, the Galaxy M47 5G is expected to land in the ₹20,000 to ₹30,000 bracket, where it will likely compete against strong rivals from brands like Xiaomi, OnePlus, and iQOO.
With flagship-like software support and premium hardware, Samsung may be preparing one of its strongest mid-range challengers yet.
