Nothing Phone 4b Launching on July 7: New B-Series, Design Teased, What to Expect
Nothing Phone 4b will launch in India on July 7, marking the debut of the company’s new B-series smartphones.

New Delhi: The buzz around Nothing’s next smartphone is officially here. The company has confirmed that the Nothing Phone 4b will launch in India on July 7, introducing an entirely new B-series lineup that could reshape the brand’s product strategy.

The announcement was made through Nothing’s official X account, sparking curiosity among fans and tech enthusiasts. While the company is still keeping most of the hardware details under wraps, early teasers and executive comments have already painted an interesting picture.

So, why the sudden introduction of a B-series?

According to Akis Evangelidis, co-founder and India president of Nothing, the company is creating a clearer hierarchy within its smartphone ecosystem. He explained that the number in a device name indicates its generation, while the letter defines its position in the lineup.

This means the A-series will continue to be Nothing’s premium mid-range offering below the flagship line, while the newly launched B-series is aimed at a different—and likely more affordable—market segment.

That alone suggests the Phone 4b could become Nothing’s most accessible smartphone in its signature transparent design language.

The company has also dropped a subtle teaser with the caption “(b)usted”, and eagle-eyed fans quickly noticed some interesting design details.

The short clip confirms that the Phone 4b will retain Nothing’s iconic transparent back panel, along with visible internal components—a design identity that has become central to the brand’s popularity.

But there’s one major twist.

Unlike recent Nothing devices that featured dual or triple-camera setups, the upcoming Phone 4b appears to carry just a single rear camera. This could signal aggressive cost-cutting to target a lower price bracket while maintaining the company’s premium aesthetic appeal.

The timing of this launch is also significant.

It comes shortly after Nothing confirmed it would not be releasing a direct successor to the CMF Phone, its budget-focused sub-brand device. Evangelidis revealed that rising memory costs made it difficult to build a meaningful upgrade without compromising on value.

Instead of forcing an underwhelming CMF successor, Nothing seems to be shifting focus toward the B-series—possibly as a smarter replacement strategy.

While specifications such as processor, battery, and pricing remain unknown for now, one thing is clear: Nothing is expanding beyond its established formula.

If priced right, the Nothing Phone 4b could become a serious challenger in India’s highly competitive budget smartphone segment, where design often takes a backseat—but Nothing seems determined to change that.

All eyes are now on July 7, when the full picture will finally be revealed.
