Hotels, restaurants and small businesses receive major relief as 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder prices are reduced across India, while domestic LPG rates remain unchanged.
After months of rising fuel costs, businesses across India have finally received some welcome relief. From July 1, the price of the 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has been reduced by ₹183, offering lower operating costs for restaurants, hotels, caterers and other commercial establishments that rely heavily on cooking gas.
The latest revision comes after several rounds of price increases witnessed over recent months and is expected to ease expenses for thousands of businesses across the country.
However, there is no change in the price of the 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder, meaning household consumers will continue to pay the existing rates.
Commercial LPG prices reduced nationwide
The revised prices have taken effect in several major Indian cities.

Why have commercial LPG prices come down?
The latest price cut follows a period of easing energy costs in international markets.

Commercial LPG prices had climbed sharply in recent months due to geopolitical tensions, particularly the conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran, which raised concerns over global crude oil supplies.
Another major factor was uncertainty surrounding shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s busiest oil transit routes. As tensions eased and global energy markets stabilised, fuel costs began softening, allowing oil marketing companies to revise commercial LPG prices downward.

The reduction is expected to provide immediate relief to sectors with high LPG consumption, including:

No relief yet for households
While commercial users have benefited from the latest revision, domestic consumers will have to wait longer for any reduction in household LPG prices.
The 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder continues to be sold at existing rates, with no announcement of a price revision as of July 1.
For now, the latest cut marks the first significant relief for commercial LPG users in months and signals improving conditions in the global energy market after a prolonged period of volatility.
