Bigg Boss 20 Premiere: Salman Khan Returns With a Bang, Manoj Tiwari’s Daughter Rhiti Enters But ‘Room No. 20’ Hides a Big Secret
Bigg Boss 20 kicks off with Salman Khan back as host, a striking Alice in Wonderland-inspired house and Rhiti Tiwari among the confirmed contestants, while several other high-profile names remain in focus.
Bigg Boss is back for a milestone season. Bigg Boss 20 premiered on Sunday, September 6, with Salman Khan returning as host and a fresh group of contestants preparing to spend their coming weeks under constant surveillance.
The grand premiere began streaming on JioHotstar at 9 pm, with its television broadcast scheduled on Colors TV at 10:30 pm. Salman opened the new season with an energetic performance featuring some of his popular songs.
But beyond Salman’s return, one of the biggest talking points surrounding the premiere has been the arrival of Manoj Tiwari’s daughter Rhiti Tiwari.
Manoj Tiwari’s daughter Rhiti Tiwari enters Bigg Boss 20
Years after Manoj Tiwari competed in Bigg Boss Season 4, his daughter Rhiti Tiwari, a singer-songwriter, has stepped inside the house as a contestant.
A promo featuring the father-daughter duo alongside Salman confirmed Rhiti’s participation before the premiere.
The introduction also brought back memories of Manoj’s memorable stint on the reality show.
Salman jokingly advised Rhiti not to get into fights over eggs inside the house, a reference to one of her father’s famous Bigg Boss moments. He followed it up with the playful line, “Baap pe mat jaana,” leaving Manoj embarrassed and amused at the same time.
Rhiti responded with a joke of her own, adding to the light-hearted exchange before beginning her Bigg Boss journey.
Kanika Mann and Mary Kom among big names in spotlight
Kanika Mann has also joined the new season, while acclaimed boxer Mary Kom is among the prominent personalities linked with the Bigg Boss 20 lineup. Live premiere updates also confirmed contestants including Aasif Khan as the season got underway.
Before the premiere, several other celebrities had been reported or rumoured as possible participants, including Mahhi Vij, Amrapali Dubey, Arishfa Khan, Isha Rikhi, Uditi Singh, Aman Gandhi and others.

As with every Bigg Boss season, the final lineup is best distinguished from pre-premiere speculation as contestants are formally introduced on the show.
Rhiya Ahir vs Love Gill puts power in fans’ hands
Another twist leading into the premiere involved Rhiya Ahir and Love Gill.
Viewers were given the opportunity to vote between the two for a place in the Bigg Boss house, with Salman Khan set to reveal the outcome during the premiere.
The format immediately gives the audience a role in shaping the competition, even before the new housemates have fully settled in.

Bigg Boss 20 house gets Alice in Wonderland makeover
The contestants will be living in one of the show’s most unusual houses yet.
This season’s sprawling Bigg Boss house draws inspiration from the whimsical world of Alice in Wonderland, blending fantasy elements with extravagant modern interiors.
The approximately 10,000-square-foot set reportedly features 104 cameras, ensuring that almost every move made by the contestants can be captured.
Among its eye-catching elements are quirky oversized objects and unusual animal-themed décor, creating an intentionally surreal atmosphere.
What is hiding inside Room No. 20?
Perhaps the most intriguing feature is Room No. 20.
Unlike the other parts of the house revealed around the premiere, the purpose of this mysterious room has deliberately been kept under wraps. Its secret is expected to emerge as the season progresses.
That makes Room No. 20 an immediate source of speculation: Will it offer contestants an advantage, introduce a punishment, or completely alter the game?
For now, Bigg Boss is keeping that answer secret.
Salman Khan returns for milestone 20th season
At the centre of everything is once again Salman Khan, whose association with the reality franchise has become one of its defining features.
His return for Season 20 comes with the familiar mix of performances, humour, contestant interactions and the confrontations viewers have come to expect from the show.
With Rhiti Tiwari, Kanika Mann, Aasif Khan and other personalities beginning their journeys, audience-driven decisions already entering the game, and mysteries such as Room No. 20 waiting to unfold, the new season has plenty of ingredients for drama.
And with 104 cameras watching the house, keeping secrets may prove considerably harder for the contestants than it is for Bigg Boss himself.
