Avengers: Endgame Encore will bring the Infinity Saga finale back to Indian theatres on September 25, with additional footage and an exclusive glimpse of the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday.

For Marvel fans who thought the thunderous theatre experience of Avengers: Endgame belonged to 2019, there is now another chance to hear “Avengers, assemble” inside a packed cinema hall.

Marvel Studios is bringing the blockbuster back to theatres as Avengers: Endgame Encore on September 25, 2026, with the special edition set to release across India in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

But this is not being positioned as a simple re-release. The new edition arrives with additional material and, more importantly for fans following the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), a connection to the franchise’s next major event Avengers: Doomsday.

What is new in Avengers: Endgame Encore?

The biggest reason longtime fans may consider returning to theatres is the new material being added to the film.

The Encore edition reportedly runs for around 185 minutes, approximately four minutes longer than the original theatrical version. It also includes a special introduction and material designed to connect Endgame with the events surrounding Avengers: Doomsday.

A fresh post-credits element is also part of the updated presentation, adding another reason for audiences to remain seated after revisiting the climactic battle against Thanos.

Marvel has also released a new trailer for the Encore edition, reigniting memories of the extraordinary audience reactions that accompanied Endgame during its original theatrical run.

Avengers: Doomsday sneak peek raises the stakes

The real attraction, however, may come after fans have relived the Infinity Saga finale.

Audiences watching Avengers: Endgame Encore will receive an exclusive look at Avengers: Doomsday, the next major Avengers film scheduled to arrive in cinemas on December 18, 2026. Select IMAX and Infinity Vision-certified presentations are also expected to include an additional sneak peek.

That effectively turns the Endgame re-release into a bridge between two different eras of the MCU revisiting the emotional conclusion of the Infinity Saga while offering a taste of what comes next.

With Doomsday approaching, Marvel appears to be using one of its most beloved films to bring audiences back into the Avengers story before launching its next enormous cinematic chapter.

What is Marvel’s Infinity Vision?

Endgame Encore will also help introduce audiences to Infinity Vision, a premium theatrical certification associated with large-format screens.

The format is designed around requirements for bigger screens, strong image brightness and immersive audio, with the aim of giving moviegoers a more premium theatrical experience.

Alongside Infinity Vision-certified auditoriums, the movie will also be available in IMAX, making its massive final battle an obvious candidate for another large-screen viewing.

Seven years later, Endgame still carries enormous nostalgia

Originally released in 2019, Avengers: Endgame followed the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War, in which Thanos wiped out half of all life in the universe.

The surviving Avengers including Tony Stark/Iron Man, Steve Rogers/Captain America, Thor, Bruce Banner/Hulk, Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow and Clint Barton/Hawkeye eventually reunited for one desperate attempt to reverse the catastrophe.

What followed became one of the defining superhero spectacles of its generation, culminating in an enormous battle and the emotional conclusion of several long-running character arcs.

The film was directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, with Kevin Feige serving as producer.

More than nostalgia for Marvel

Bringing Endgame back seven years later is a clever move for Marvel Studios. The film already carries enormous emotional weight among MCU audiences, but the inclusion of Doomsday material gives even those who have watched it multiple times something genuinely new to anticipate.

The question now is whether fans will return in large numbers simply to relive one of Marvel’s biggest moments or whether those extra minutes and the promise of a Doomsday glimpse will turn the re-release into another theatrical event.

Either way, September 25 could once again sound a lot like 2019 inside Indian cinemas.

Avengers: Endgame Encore releases across India on September 25, 2026, in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, ahead of Avengers: Doomsday on December 18, 2026.
