Anuj Sachdeva reacts to Gaurav Khanna-Akanksha Chamola divorce bombshell: ‘He had no idea She’d Go Public’

Television actor Anuj Sachdeva has reacted to the shocking revelation made by Akanksha Chamola about her separation from husband Gaurav Khanna, saying the actor was unaware that the matter would be made public on national television.

The divorce announcement came as a surprise during the premiere episode of Lock Upp Season 2, where Akanksha revealed that she and Gaurav are heading for divorce and have been living separately for nearly a year.

The confession left not just viewers but even the show’s hosts, Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh, visibly stunned.

Speaking about the matter, Anuj Sachdeva shared that he himself had no idea the couple had been living apart for the last nine months and only learned about it after the episode aired.

He revealed that he immediately spoke to Gaurav Khanna, who apparently had no knowledge that Akanksha was going to publicly discuss their marital status on the reality show.

According to Anuj, Gaurav has chosen not to speak about the issue publicly and has maintained dignity and privacy despite the personal nature of the situation.

The actress admitted that while she had always been honest about not having strong maternal instincts, over time she realized she did not want children at all.

Meanwhile, Gaurav, according to her, strongly wanted to start a family.

Akanksha explained that this fundamental difference in their future plans created emotional distance between them.

Despite the separation, she clarified there is no bitterness between them and that they continue to remain in touch.

She described their split as a mutual understanding based on incompatibility rather than conflict.
