Samantha Ruth Prabhu celebrates a historic box office milestone as Maa Inti Bangaaram becomes the highest-grossing female-led Telugu film ever.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu has added another major achievement to her already celebrated career. Her latest Telugu release, Maa Inti Bangaaram, has officially become the highest-grossing female-led Telugu film of all time, rewriting box office history.

The film has broken a long-standing 17-year-old record set by Arundhati, starring Anushka Shetty. The cult horror-fantasy had grossed Rs 70 crore worldwide in 2009 — a benchmark that remained untouched for nearly two decades.

According to industry tracker reports, Maa Inti Bangaaram crossed that mark on its 10th day, reaching an impressive Rs 78.71 crore worldwide.

On Day 10 alone, the film collected Rs 5.30 crore net in India, taking its domestic net total to Rs 48.25 crore and grossing Rs 55.86 crore domestically. Overseas, the film added another Rs 1 crore, pushing its international total to Rs 22.85 crore.

By Day 12, the worldwide total climbed even further to Rs 83.12 crore, with India net collections crossing the Rs 50 crore mark.

This milestone is significant not just for Samantha but for Telugu cinema as a whole.

When Arundhati, directed by Kodi Ramakrishna, released in 2009, it proved that a female-led commercial entertainer could dominate the box office and even outperform several male-led films.

Yet for the next 17 years, despite the Telugu industry scaling new heights with films like Baahubali, Pushpa, K.G.F, and Kalki 2898 AD, no solo female-led film could surpass that record — until now.

Directed by BV Nandini Reddy, Maa Inti Bangaaram has struck an emotional chord with audiences through its blend of family drama, action and heartfelt storytelling.

The film is backed by Samantha’s production banner Tralala Moving Pictures, in collaboration with Raj Nidimoru and Himank Duvvuru.

Made on a reported budget of Rs 20 crore, the film has already delivered massive profits and emerged as one of the most successful Telugu films of 2026.

The ensemble cast includes Gulshan Devaiah, Diganth Manchale, Sreemukhi, and Gautami.

With strong word-of-mouth and repeat audiences continuing to drive footfalls, the film’s box office run is far from over.

And if the current momentum holds, Samantha may not just have broken a record — she could set a new benchmark that may stand for years.
