Alia Bhatt shared an emotional message supporting protesting students, joining several Bollywood celebrities who have voiced solidarity with the movement.

Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt has publicly expressed her support for the ongoing student protest in Delhi, becoming one of the latest celebrities to stand in solidarity with the demonstrators after reports of a police lathi-charge during a protest march earlier this week.

Taking to Instagram, Alia shared an emotional note, saying the events of the past few days had deeply affected her. She praised the students for standing firm in support of their cause and highlighted the sacrifices many families make to ensure their children receive a quality education.

‘Their Courage Humbles Me’

In her statement, Alia wrote that every student participating in the movement represents not only personal dreams but also the hopes of their families and future generations.

She said the students’ determination serves as a reminder for society to listen to the voices of young people who will shape the country’s future. Ending her message with “Jai Hind,” the actor described the movement as one driven “for the students, by the students.”

Salman Khan Also Extended His Support

Earlier, Salman Khan had also expressed solidarity with the protesting students. Sharing a photograph from his student days on social media, the actor described the movement as peaceful and said he was saddened that it eventually turned violent.

Actors Huma Qureshi and Saqib Saleem reportedly visited the protest site at Jantar Mantar in the early hours of Thursday to express their solidarity with the demonstrators.

Several other prominent personalities, including Rajkummar Rao, Prakash Raj, Naseeruddin Shah, Anupam Kher, Shabana Azmi, and Javed Akhtar, have also voiced support for the students in recent days.
