Samsung Could Add a ‘Pro’ Twist to its flagship lineup: Galaxy S27 pro leaks hint at ultra-Level cameras, Big battery & more
From a 200MP camera to a 6.47-inch QHD+ AMOLED display, the rumoured Galaxy S27 Pro could become Samsung’s new premium weapon against Apple’s expanding iPhone lineup.
New Delhi: Samsung’s next flagship lineup may be heading for its biggest shake-up in years.
While the Galaxy S27 series is still expected to arrive in early 2027, leaks are already hinting at something new a Galaxy S27 Pro, a model Samsung has never officially offered before.
If the reports are accurate, Samsung could move from its long-running three-tier strategy (Standard, Plus, Ultra) to a four-device lineup: Galaxy S27, S27+, S27 Pro, and S27 Ultra.
That would bring Samsung closer to Apple’s increasingly segmented iPhone strategy, where premium users now have multiple high-end choices.
But there’s an important catch: none of this is official yet.
Similar rumours surfaced last year about a Galaxy S26 Pro, but Samsung eventually dismissed those claims and stuck to its usual formula. That means the S27 Pro should still be treated as speculation—at least for now.
So what exactly could the Galaxy S27 Pro be?
According to multiple leaks, Samsung may position it as a smaller Ultra, offering most of the flagship technology without the S Pen.
The rumoured device is expected to feature a 6.47-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with QHD+ resolution and a 1Hz to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, placing it between the standard and Plus variants in size.
One premium feature that may return is Privacy Display, Samsung’s anti-peeping screen tech that debuted on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. If true, this would make the S27 Pro only the second Samsung phone to carry it.
The camera setup could be one of its biggest highlights.
Leaks suggest the phone may feature a 200MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom, along with a 12MP selfie camera.
There’s also talk of Samsung introducing a new ALoP (Advanced Lens on Prism) zoom system, which could improve low-light zoom quality, allow more light intake, and help keep the phone slimmer despite flagship-grade camera hardware.

However, camera details remain the most conflicting part of current leaks, so this area is far from confirmed.
Under the hood, the Galaxy S27 Pro is tipped to run on Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro processor, paired with at least 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
Software-wise, it is expected to launch with One UI 9.5 and receive seven years of Android and security updates, continuing Samsung’s industry-leading update promise.
One of the biggest surprises could be the battery.
Despite being smaller than the Ultra, the S27 Pro is rumoured to pack a 5,000mAh battery, matching the Ultra itself. Reports suggest Samsung may use the extra internal space created by removing the S Pen slot to fit a larger battery.
Charging speeds are expected to remain at 45W wired and 20W wireless.
If Samsung does move ahead with this strategy, the Galaxy S27 Pro could fill an important gap—offering flagship-level performance and cameras in a slightly smaller, more practical package.
For now, though, it remains a waiting game.
Until Samsung officially confirms the lineup, all leaks should be taken with caution—but if even half of them turn out to be true, the Galaxy S27 Pro could become one of the most interesting flagship phones of 2027.
