‘Wait Just 15 More Days’: CM Yogi Breaks Silence on Ram Mandir Donation Row, Sends Strong Message to Devotees

Breaking his silence on the controversial allegations surrounding Ram Mandir donations, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday urged devotees to remain patient, assuring that the truth would soon emerge.

Speaking at the inauguration and foundation stone-laying ceremony of the Government Ayurvedic College and Hospital in Ayodhya, Yogi made it clear that the state government is committed to a fair investigation into claims of financial irregularities linked to temple offerings.

His statement comes as the issue continues to spark political debates and public concern over the transparency of donation management at the Ram Mandir.

‘Wait 15 More Days, Truth Will Be Clear’

Addressing Ram devotees directly, Yogi appealed for calm and restraint, saying the Special Investigation Team (SIT) would soon separate facts from rumours.

“We constituted the SIT on the request of the Trust. The SIT will separate fact from fiction and establish the truth,” he said.

In a strong emotional appeal, the Chief Minister reminded people of the centuries-long wait for the Ram Mandir and urged them not to lose patience now.

“We followed the path of dignity and restraint for 500 years. Wait another 15 days. Have patience and do not worry,” Yogi said.

His “15 days” remark has now become the biggest political talking point around the controversy.

Political Storm Over Donation Allegations

The controversy erupted after Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav raised concerns over reports claiming that crores of rupees from temple donations were unaccounted for.

Akhilesh had demanded a judicial inquiry, questioning the management of the offerings and transparency in the system.

On Thursday, he escalated his attack, warning that Ayodhya could become a “Kurukshetra” for those found guilty.

The allegations have triggered intense political exchanges between the ruling BJP and opposition parties.

Trust Requested SIT Probe

The Uttar Pradesh government constituted the SIT on June 13 following a formal request from the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust itself.

The three-member team includes senior officials from administration, police, and finance departments.

This move was seen as an attempt to ensure a transparent and unbiased inquiry.

Trust Member Questioned

As part of the investigation, SIT officials questioned trust member Dr Anil Mishra on Thursday.

Sources say the team sought details about how donations are counted, who oversees the process, and how personnel involved in handling temple funds are selected.

Investigators are now reportedly examining financial records and operational procedures related to the donation system.

Yogi Warns Against Rumours

Yogi also cautioned against what he called attempts to defame Ayodhya and the Ram Janmabhoomi movement.

He urged people not to spread baseless allegations without proof and said anyone with documentary evidence should directly submit it to the SIT.

The Chief Minister stressed that irresponsible comments could hurt the faith of millions of Ram devotees.
