David Kumar’s daughter Bessy makes an emotional appeal to Tamil Nadu CM Vijay, asking him to visit her family and provide support after her father’s death.

An emotional appeal from a young girl in Chamarajanagar has drawn attention amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the deaths of three Tamil men in an alleged exchange of fire with Karnataka Forest Department personnel.

Bessy, daughter of David Kumar, one of the men killed in the incident, has made a direct appeal to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay, asking him to visit her family and provide support.

In a video recorded in Tamil, Bessy, a resident of Thomiyar Palya in Hanur taluk, spoke about the financial difficulties her family is facing following the death of her father.

‘Vijay Mama, please come to our house’

With an emotional plea, Bessy addressed Vijay as “mama” and asked him to visit her home.

“Vijay Mama, please come to our house,” she appealed in the video.

She explained that the family was already dealing with significant debt and that her father’s death had left them uncertain about how they would manage financially.

“Our father is no more. Our family is struggling. We have a lot of debt. I don’t know how we will manage the debt without my father,” she said.

Her appeal has since drawn attention amid growing public and political discussion surrounding the incident.

Who was David Kumar?

David Kumar was among three Tamil men who died during what authorities have described as an alleged exchange of fire involving personnel of the Karnataka Forest Department in Chamarajanagar district.

The circumstances surrounding the deaths have become a politically sensitive issue, with questions being raised over what exactly happened during the incident.

The episode has also led to tensions and political exchanges involving Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, while attention has increasingly shifted towards the families of those who died.

For Bessy’s family, however, the immediate concern appears to be much more personal — how to manage life and existing financial obligations without the family’s primary breadwinner.

Family seeks support amid growing political attention

The appeal to Vijay comes at a time when the incident has received considerable attention in Tamil Nadu.

As the political debate surrounding the deaths continues, the families of the victims are also seeking assistance and support.

Bessy’s video has highlighted the human and financial impact of the incident beyond the political confrontation.

Her direct appeal to Vijay reflects the expectations some families place on prominent political leaders for immediate assistance during times of crisis.

Vijay, who heads TVK and currently serves as Tamil Nadu’s Chief Minister, has increasingly been in the spotlight since entering active politics.

The Chamarajanagar incident has raised questions that are likely to remain part of the political discussion between the two neighbouring states.

But Bessy’s emotional message brings the focus back to the families affected by the deaths.

Her request is simple: she wants Vijay to come to her home and help her family deal with the financial difficulties left behind by her father’s death.

As the wider controversy continues, her emotional “Vijay Mama, please come” appeal has become a reminder of the personal hardship unfolding behind the political headlines.
