Ram Kapoor’s ‘Water Tantrum’ on Lock Upp 2 Sparks Massive Outrage; Riteish Deshmukh’s Calm Reply Wins Internet

Reality show Lock Upp Season 2 has found itself at the centre of a fresh controversy after veteran actor Ram Kapoor got into a tense exchange with host Riteish Deshmukh during a high-pressure immunity challenge. The incident, which aired in the latest episode, quickly became one of the most talked-about moments online, with social media flooded with reactions.

The drama unfolded during the season’s very first immunity task, where safe contestants Harshad Chopra and Akanksha Chamola were armed with paintball guns, while the rest of the contestants had to sprint towards the buzzer without getting hit. The winner of the challenge would secure safety from this week’s elimination.

However, things took an unexpected turn when Ram Kapoor, after failing his attempt, demanded drinking water from the crew. When his request was not met instantly, the actor appeared visibly frustrated.

“I have been asking for water for a long time. You guys are making us do this but not giving water; it’s not right. Send water,” Ram said, visibly upset.

What escalated the tension further was when Ram walked into the middle of the task area, forcing the challenge to pause temporarily.

Seeing the disruption, host and jailer Riteish Deshmukh stepped in and handled the situation with composure. He reminded Ram that every contestant had been provided with their own personal water bottle before the task began and clarified that carrying it was their own responsibility.

But Ram, still upset, shot back with, “Lagane do, aao maaro,” daring others to continue.

Riteish maintained his calm and explained the rules firmly, after which Ram eventually stepped aside, allowing the game to continue.

Soon after the episode aired, social media exploded with criticism directed at Ram Kapoor. Several viewers labelled his actions as “arrogant” and “embarrassing,” while others praised Riteish for keeping his cool under pressure.
