He Has Lost His Mind? Ram Kapoor’s ‘Infidelity Isn’t a Deal Breaker’ Remark on Lock Upp Sparks Outrage

Television actor Ram Kapoor has once again landed in controversy, this time over his remarks on infidelity during his appearance on reality show Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa.

The actor’s statement that cheating in a marriage is not necessarily a deal breaker has triggered a strong reaction online, with social media users sharply divided over his perspective.

The conversation unfolded during an interaction with fellow contestant Shreya Kalra, who asked Ram how he would respond if his partner cheated on him. His reply was candid — and controversial.

“If you really love your partner, nothing is a deal breaker… marriage is hard, and it’s a journey. You have to work at it every day,” Ram said.

He went on to explain that long-term relationships naturally go through highs and lows, suggesting that mistakes can happen during difficult phases.

“Sometimes in a 20–25 year marriage… if during a bad phase something happens by mistake, and you realise you can’t live without your partner or your children, then time heals everything,” he added.

While Ram’s comments appeared to emphasize forgiveness and commitment, they did not sit well with a large section of the audience.
