Bratislava, Slovakia: Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a heartfelt and memorable welcome in Bratislava as he began his landmark visit to Slovakia, becoming the first Indian Prime Minister to visit the European nation since its independence in 1993.

The visit, which is being viewed as a significant milestone in bilateral diplomacy, started on a cultural note as the renowned Slovak folk ensemble Lucnica performed India’s beloved national song ‘Vande Mataram’ in honour of the visiting leader.
