Samantha’s Latest Release Begins With A Strong Punch At The Box Office

Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu has started her latest cinematic journey on a positive note as her much-awaited action drama Maa Inti Bangaaram recorded an impressive opening at the box office. Directed by Nandini Reddy, the film has managed to attract audiences both in India and overseas, giving fans and trade analysts plenty of reasons to celebrate.

The film marks one of Samantha’s biggest releases this year and also carries extra significance as she has stepped in as a producer alongside her lead role.

Rs 10 Crore Milestone Crossed On Day One

According to early trade estimates, Maa Inti Bangaaram collected around Rs 5.35 crore nett across India on its opening day. Its domestic gross collection is estimated at Rs 6.20 crore, while the overseas market contributed another Rs 4.50 crore gross.

With these numbers combined, the film’s total worldwide Day 1 collection has touched Rs 10.70 crore, making it a solid opening for the action entertainer.

For a film that heavily relies on Samantha’s star power and strong regional support, the start is being viewed as encouraging.

Telugu Version Leads The Charge

As expected, the Telugu version emerged as the major contributor, collecting Rs 5.15 crore nett, while the Tamil version added Rs 20 lakh nett to the total.

The movie was screened across 2,658 shows nationwide, including 2,040 Telugu shows and 618 Tamil shows.

The lion’s share of the domestic business came from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, which together contributed nearly Rs 4.75 crore gross. Karnataka followed with approximately Rs 90 lakh, while Tamil Nadu chipped in around Rs 38 lakh.

Hyderabad Shows Massive Support

One of the biggest highlights of the opening day was the overwhelming audience response in Hyderabad, where night shows reportedly witnessed near-full occupancy.

The Telugu 2D version showed strong growth throughout the day. Morning occupancy began at 26.15 percent, but by night shows, it climbed sharply to 51.38 percent, showing strong word-of-mouth and audience interest.

Premium-format screenings performed even better, with the Telugu EPIQ version recording an impressive 96 percent occupancy, underlining the film’s popularity among urban viewers.

A Special Project For Samantha

Beyond acting, Maa Inti Bangaaram is a personal milestone for Samantha, as she has also backed the project under her own production banner. The film is co-produced by Raj Nidimoru and Himank Duvvuru, adding further weight to the production.

The ensemble cast includes Diganth, Gulshan Devaiah, Gautami, Manjusha, and Sreemukhi, all playing important roles alongside Samantha.

With a solid opening day and strong occupancy trends, all eyes are now on how the film performs over the weekend. If the momentum continues, Maa Inti Bangaaram could emerge as one of Samantha’s notable box office successes this year.
