Awarapan 2 Box Office Day 7: Emraan Hashmi’s Film Crosses Rs 110 Crore… But Can It Hold Strong in Week 2?

Awarapan 2 has completed its first seven days in theatres, and the numbers suggest that the long-awaited sequel has found a sizeable audience. Led by Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani, the romantic-action drama has crossed Rs 110 crore in India net collections during its opening week.

According to early box office estimates cited in the available data, Awarapan 2 collected approximately Rs 113.50 crore India net in its first seven days. Its estimated India gross stands at Rs 135.37 crore, while the film’s worldwide gross has reached around Rs 161.67 crore.

The strong first-week total comes despite the expected slowdown during the weekdays, after the film enjoyed an impressive opening weekend.

Awarapan 2 Gets a Big Independence Day Boost

Released in theatres on August 14, 2026, Awarapan 2 arrived just ahead of Independence Day, giving the film a valuable holiday window.

The movie reportedly opened with Rs 22 crore on its first day before witnessing a significant jump on Saturday, collecting approximately Rs 33.75 crore. It maintained momentum on Sunday with another Rs 26 crore.

As the working week began, however, collections naturally slowed. Monday brought in around Rs 9.25 crore, followed by Rs 9.75 crore on Tuesday. The film then collected approximately Rs 6.75 crore on Wednesday and Rs 6 crore on Thursday, taking its estimated seven-day India net total to Rs 113.50 crore.

The weekday decline will now put the spotlight on the film’s second weekend, which could play an important role in determining how far its theatrical run can go.

Emraan Hashmi Returns to the World of Awarapan

Directed by Nitin Kakkar, Awarapan 2 marks the return of Emraan Hashmi to a franchise that has retained a loyal following since the original film arrived in 2007.

The sequel is produced by Vishesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt under the banner of Vishesh Films.

Alongside Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani, the film features Puran Gabbi, Aniruddh Rawal and Shabana Azmi in prominent roles. Suvinder Vicky, Vijayant Kohli and Atul Kumar are also part of the cast.

Romance, Crime and Redemption Return in the Sequel

Much like its predecessor, Awarapan 2 builds its story around emotionally heavy themes of love, sacrifice, violence, crime and redemption.

Emraan Hashmi once again steps into an intense role involving a man caught between a violent world, complicated personal relationships and his search for redemption. The sequel attempts to preserve the emotional identity associated with Awarapan while taking its story into a new chapter for today’s audience.

For fans who have carried memories of the original for nearly two decades, the sequel’s arrival itself was a major moment. Its strong opening-week numbers indicate that the franchise still carries considerable recall among moviegoers.

Can Awarapan 2 Stay Strong in Week 2?

After crossing Rs 110 crore India net in its opening week, the bigger question is whether Awarapan 2 can maintain enough momentum in its second week.

The sharp weekend numbers helped establish a strong base, while weekday collections have now settled at comparatively lower levels. A healthy jump during the second Saturday and Sunday could give the film another significant push.

With an estimated Rs 161.67 crore worldwide gross already on the board after seven days, all eyes will now be on how much further Emraan Hashmi’s comeback to the Awarapan franchise can travel at the box office.
