Moto G Max Goes on Sale in India With 7,000mAh Battery and Snapdragon Chip: Check Price, Offers and Specs…
The new Moto G Max brings a 120Hz display, 7,000mAh battery, Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor and Android 16 to India’s mid-range smartphone market.
Motorola has started selling its latest G-series smartphone, the Moto G Max, in India. Launched last week, the phone is now available to buyers looking for a large display, long battery life and a relatively capable chipset without moving into the premium smartphone segment.
The Moto G Max is Motorola’s second smartphone in India to carry the “Max” branding after the Motorola Edge 70 Max. However, unlike the Edge series, the new G-series phone is aimed at a more affordable segment.
Its biggest highlight is easily the massive 7,000mAh battery, while other key specifications include a 120Hz display, Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset, 50-megapixel primary camera and Android 16.
Moto G Max price in India and offers
The Moto G Max is priced at ₹27,999 in India for its sole configuration with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
Motorola is offering a ₹3,000 bank cashback for eligible customers, which can bring the effective price down to around ₹26,999. Buyers can also choose exchange offers and no-cost EMI options.
The smartphone is available through Flipkart.
The phone is offered in three colour options: Pantone Alaskan Blue, Pantone Malaga and Pantone Stargazer.
There is also a bundled Jio benefit for eligible customers, including up to 5,000GB of cloud storage for 18 months and access to Google Gemini Pro.
7,000mAh battery is the biggest attraction
The Moto G Max is clearly designed for users who don’t want to worry about charging their phone frequently.
The smartphone packs a 7,000mAh battery and supports 30W TurboPower wired charging. Motorola claims the phone can deliver up to 63 hours of battery life on a single charge.
That figure will naturally depend on usage, network conditions and other factors, but the large battery should make the Moto G Max particularly appealing to users who spend long hours watching videos, browsing social media, gaming or travelling.
The phone measures 166.23 x 76.50 x 8.60mm and weighs 213 grams.
120Hz display and Gorilla Glass protection
The Moto G Max features a 6.72-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels.
The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a 120Hz touch sampling rate, which should make scrolling and general navigation feel smoother compared with conventional 60Hz displays.
The screen can reach up to 1,050 nits of peak brightness in HBM mode and offers a pixel density of 391ppi.
For protection, Motorola has used Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 powers the phone
Under the hood, the Moto G Max is powered by Qualcomm’s 4nm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset.
It comes with 6GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

Motorola has also included its RAM Boost feature, allowing the phone to use part of its internal storage as virtual RAM. The company says the feature can expand the available virtual memory by up to 24GB.
The smartphone runs Hello UI based on Android 16.
Motorola has promised two Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates, giving buyers some assurance that the device will remain supported for several years.
50MP camera leads the rear setup
Photography duties are handled by a dual-camera system on the back.
The primary sensor is a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA 600 camera with an f/1.8 aperture. It is accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 119.5-degree field of view.
For selfies and video calls, the phone features a 32-megapixel front camera.
While the camera hardware looks competitive on paper, the actual photography experience will ultimately depend on Motorola’s image processing and software optimisation.

Connectivity and durability
The Moto G Max supports dual-SIM 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1 and GPS.
It also retains a 3.5mm headphone jack, alongside a USB Type-C port.
For security, the smartphone features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock.
The handset carries an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance and also meets MIL-STD-810H durability standards.
Is the Moto G Max worth considering?
The Moto G Max has a fairly clear selling point: battery life.
A 7,000mAh cell combined with a 120Hz display and a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor makes the phone an interesting option for buyers who prioritise endurance over flagship-level performance.
At ₹27,999, the competition will be intense, but the bank cashback can make the effective price more attractive.
The large battery, 120Hz screen, 50MP Sony camera and Android 16 make the Moto G Max a well-rounded package. Its 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration, however, may feel restrictive to some buyers at this price point.
For someone who wants a large-screen smartphone with serious battery endurance, the Moto G Max could be one of Motorola’s more interesting G-series offerings this year.
